The addition of something isn’t always a need but a want, some have been asking for the EMBT for some time.
Probably because they won’t want to give new leopards to Germany, only other nations.
Won’t fulfill nothing in both tech trees just adding a vehicle that is strong but have a massive yet thin frontal weakspot that can be easily exploited by most lower calibers vehicles. Its Achilles’ heel or its 20 mm of plate protecting the turret ring as a duct tape to fit the Leclerc’s turret into a Leopard 2 chassis isn’t very exciting when it comes to play the vehicle.
For one it gives a vehicle that reloads faster than a Leopard 2 with Ace crew, on the other gives a vehicle that has better mobility than a Leclerc itself; it’s a mixed bag of whatever and surely isn’t the best but it’s something that was requested, Gaijin gave so now we shut—Community Managers and other representatives will use this as a excuse to, as many others has mentioned previously—to justify that France and Germany has new content.
Although it’s “copy and paste”, in my opinion isn’t in the same way Gaijin currently does, it’s a joint project between France and Germany, naturally both tech trees in-game should recieve the vehicle, to not repeat a DF105 situation from the past. My issue that a vehicle that both tech trees would recieve could come with something unique for both tech trees for example the Leopard 2-140 and Leclerc 140 for example would be very exciting, unique, additions to these tech trees in contrast to the EMBT with different camouflage schemes.
