General Japanese, Thai & Indonesian Ground Forces Discussion HQ

LOL, when is this ad published? I don’t think the Type 61 met the “Highest quality in the world”, isn’t it already outdated since it being designed?😅

‘Be a warrior of the highest quality’ ahh ads

The picture shows a STA 3 prototype meaning the Type 61 did not exist yet at the time so this picture is most likely during the development of Type 61 tank somewhere in late 1950s since the ST-A 3 had been completed.

Next update is about to be released, and this is all changes to the new ground vehicles coming to Japan in update Ninth Wave.

Since there was no change to the Ho-Ni II gun depression so it means we will unfortunately get the Ho-Ni II with only -10 degree of gun depression (No bug report ever made on this matter)…

Where are those people that like to uploading documents on Japanese vehicles when you need them ?

Would not be surprised if we are getting that version too later this year.

Pretty sure the Ho-Ni II is getting -17 degrees of depression

Isn’t it just the Type 10 that has a hitbox on the basket’s side and the slip ring?

According to the devblog but the actual product only gets -10.

But i’m pretty sure its actual value is -15 same as the Ho-Ni I.

The source i used got the field of fire angle on Ho-Ni I fixed but i don’t think it can be used for the Ho-Ni II.

Anyway they finally got the Type 90 FCS and other electornics layouts correct, now gunner finally got a joystick (before this he had none and only commander had two joysticks lol).
But i’m sure that commander’s joystick should be located right under his periscope, currently it is too far from him.

What are the Type 61 model changes?

Guys am I the only one who think the new BTR-3E1 is bad ?
Usually since I have some experience in the game, my first 20 battles or a bit less are good even if stock (When I got the Heavy Tank n°2, on the first 20 my k/d was just over 6 and got down after time(3.6 rn). It was my first Tiger 1, I didn’t grinded the German tank tree)
But here, my k/d is 29 deaths for 45 kills…
The gun handling is very bad, the missile is very slow, and I almost never one shot Kpz-70 with it frontaly.

I’m getting overkilled by those and Begleit 57.
Am I doing it bad or is it bad for you as well ?

I’ve almost spaded it but for me its pretty mid and the stock grind…godawful. Only good thing it has is mobility and thats all. I’d pick type 89 over BTR.

Clearly same thing. It has the same BR as the BMP-3, but he has a better mobility, agm, and can fire it on the move. And a very good gun handling compared to the BTR3A1

BTR-3 can do that too. it’s just missing in game. A bug report for this was accepted so they hopefully add it soon.

What I’m worried about is Gaijin deciding to reduce the ATGM from 6 down to just 4 to “balance” the fact that it can fire on the move. Since it’s not clear whether the BTR-3E1 actually carries 6 ATGMs by defaut in real life.

Yup, saw it multiple times in the forum.
I was refering to the current time in-game.
But the ATGM is really not insane. It is slow and I feel like it has not much post-pen damages
