It was the Ke-Ho. I think people are confusing the Ho-I with the Ku-Se, since the two used almost the same gun. Since development of the Ku-Se began in August 1943 under the codename 『55戰』, any reference to “Type 2” or “1942” would be quite odd.
For reference, the Ho-I was armed with the Type 99 7.5 cm tank gun, while the Ku-Se used the Type 99 7.5 cm tank gun Model II. The Model II allowed the gun to traverse horizontally.
Because there is essentially no detailed information on the design, that seems like the most reasonable guess, I think. That’s probably why the author drew it that way.

The Royal Thai Air Force has officially selected Israel’s BARAK MX air defense system for the IADS program, with a budget of 3.44 billion baht.
This marks Thailand’s first acquisition of a medium- to long-range integrated air defense system capable of intercepting aircraft, drones, cruise missiles, and tactical missiles.
Thailand’s Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has selected Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) as the winner of its Integrated Air Defence System (IADS) procurement. The Air Force will acquire one BARAK MX High-to-Medium Air Defense (HIMAD) system worth 3.44 billion baht (US$107 million), marking Thailand’s first air-defense system capable of intercepting tactical ballistic missiles, including Cambodia’s PHL-03 (AR-2).
The winning bid was officially announced on 20 November 2025 by the Directorate of Logistics. The contract covers delivery under DAP Incoterms 2020, excluding customs duties and some taxes, but includes installation, training, and technology transfer.
The purchase follows RTAF’s 2025 White Paper, which outlines a multi-phase plan to strengthen medium- to long-range air defense from 2025–2033. BARAK MX was selected after price evaluations from IAI, Rafael, and Excalibur International.
The BARAK MX is a modular, network-centric air- and missile-defense system capable of integrating multiple sensors and interceptors to counter aircraft, drones, cruise missiles, and tactical ballistic threats. It supports layered defense by linking multiple launch units and combining ground-based and naval air-defense networks.

New round of educated guesses are in, and although the JAS39E, NASAMS, F/A-18E and Chu-SAM are all great news, I’m wondering what this Type 61 (Mod) is.
Someone suggested it is this Type 61 used for OPFOR, with sideskirts and addon turret armour but does anyone know if it could be anything else?

We don’t know what exactly GJ is referring to here. It could also be a Type 61(B), or a simply a Type 61 with an IR spotlight.
If it was the (B), (C) or the potential (D) I feel like it’d be that name, not “mod”

I’d guess its some sort of premium vehicle for sure, but which one – idk.
Not sure it is going to be some battlepass one, but at first I thought it would become a part of triple vehicle pack (like them tt variants with a tiny bit of uniqueness and premium bonuses).
But now I think it is going to be either GE or pack premium for lower tier. Not TT as there is already Type 61 and ST-A3 at 6.7. Still not sure why would they need one provided the already high saturation of the vehicles there and existence of type 74 red star / type 16 fps / type 90 fuji in premium section.
Mi-To should have a wooden dummy main turret (and probably additional ones too) perfect for distraction.

Man, Japan could really use the Mi-To and O-I. The Mi-To could be premium, like the Ho-Ri prototype, because it only has 75mm front and rear plates. The O-I, with its 150mm front and rear plates and 150mm gun, would even be a useful tank. It would be an improved(?) KV-2 with 180mm penetration HEAT shells.

Are you sure about 180mm? I’ve seen only Type 4 150mm gun’s HEAT round with 150mm penetration of armor. Interesting to see more penetration

The O-I will still be pretty good. It will have APHE rounds with ~120mm penetration, HEAT with 150mm penetration, HE with a 7kg explosive charge, and two Type 1 47mm cannons with ~80mm penetration.

As I remember later discutions about O-I showed that Type 1 physically can’t fit O-I turrets
The only gun which ideal similar to the drawings is 70mm Type 94 like on Ro-Go
