Admittedly, I feel like a few of these would be really iffy even at 1.0, so a future rank 0 might be needed for fair implementation.

As it seems, there really is a Ha-Go wreck on mainland Japan, or at least there was as of 2013, whether it is still there or not is anyone’s guess.

The precise location is still unknown

It does make sense, as back in 2005, a Chi-Ha was found on a beach in Miura Peninsula, Kanagawa prefecture. It was later moved to the Nasu War Museum, where it remains in its unrestored state.

But wait! Whilst doing research I stumbled upon yet another supposed mainland tank, that being another Chi-Ha. This one is located at the Kenzaki Turret Battery at the southern point of the Miura Peninsula, as a part of the Tokyo Bay defenses. I did not look too hard into the location of this one, so if we could find it I would be most happy.

While the author of the blog that posted these photos claims that this was the tank transported to the Nasu museum, this can be disproved by another blogger who visited in 2015.

Personally, I find the concept of a remaining few war machines still rusting away in modern Japanese territory to be quite intriguing, similar to the concept of postwar holdouts on Pacific islands.

I was reminded about this bug that had been approved for two years now and still nothing being done despite being some of the most annoying bugs you have to deal with.

Imagine grinding for months just to have these tanks that don’t even drive properly !

The Ha-Go (replica) with its iconic jungle camouflage blends almost perfectly into the surrounding environment.

I don’t think I’ve seen this ever before. It appears to be US drawing of the sloped Ho-Ri. It is the only variant without 37mm gun and the edges seem to match. Notice where the driver is located.

Hmmm. Perhaps it’s from the same lineage as this image? The lines on the roof seem to match with the angles seen from the side. The gun clamp matches too.

Don’t forget the weight also went down, by a not insignificant amount. It will be slightly more mobile as well.

I wonder why there’s a drawing of it. If it wasn’t built, then why were they interested in it?

I’ve done tests before changes (when datamine appeart) and after

Acceleration to:

20km/h - 0.5 second faster than before
30km/h - 1 second faster
45km/h - 4 seconds faster

That’s certainly something. Though I’d expect the low speed acceleration to be impacted more than high speed…

There’s a lot more to be fixed… such as the autoloader and model

First the J7W gets a pretty meaningful buff, now the Chi-Ri… who knows what will happen next!

I should have put Ka-Chi and Chi-Ha gearbox drawings side by side sooner. The layout is nearly identical, except gears 3 and 4 have been switched around.

Spoiler

Books say that Ka-Chi was made from Chi-He and used the same internal machinery and engine. Unfortunately they don’t strictly specify the gearbox, although “machinery” heavily implies that.

Was there ever talk about this on WT forums or anywhere else?
Japanese tank engines
I guess those ratings in Japanese documents are net powers and Americans calculated gross powers.
Tank engine liquid cooling systems of the time could consume about 20% of the gross power, but we don’t have many examples of air cooled systems. Only non Japanese air cooled tank engine I can think of would be American gasoline radials, which are very different from inline and V diesels and I don’t think they had such impellers either. At any rate I’d like to know how Americans calculated powers for these, since they are ridiculously high.

l hope that the Japanese MBT bugs will be fixed with each update.
