It says Greater China Region? 🤔
I got the time wrong, it should start at 02:45.
Yes, Gaijin did not mention the “Greater China region,” but at the end of the live broadcast, the Chinese host summarized his remarks and stated, “In the future, more national tech trees from the Greater China region will join China.”
And once again, a minor nation has one of its most significant vehicles relegated to wallet warrior feeder for a major nation, because god forbid we get to play actual lineups for these countries’ militaries.
Lmaoo
Still, I will not attribute that to Gaijin. Just typical wumao arrogance. (Not all Chinese are like this, ofc)
Now that’s just blatantly political at this point…
I don’t see this working out well for Gaijin unless they notice their mistake in time.
I know but is that really produced? I can’t really find a picture that can prove the addition armour pack really exist
Your guess is as good as mine.
Though having the capability to increase its weight, coupled with the designed modularity of its armor, I would suspect some sort of addon armor was mocked up at the very least. Because why design something without even testing it out.
I would just wait and see what they do with the tank once they’ve selected the APS and installed that with the RCWS. They’d have to modify the turret to install both, and the SDF is concerned with threats to tanks seen in the ongoing war, so we could see a change in layout/increase in armor.
Lession learn from Russo-Ukraine War: All addon armour is useless except of cope cages.
The main lesson from outgoing conflict (in my opinion) that tanks will become useless cus of drone warface, coordinated artillery, modern anti tank weapons for troops.
I don’t see that as entirely likely, the situation we see ourselves in now is quite comparable to that of the First World War in my opinion.
In that conflict, new weapons of war like machine guns and artillery made it near impossible for infantry to lead a charge during a trench stalemate. The solution to this was of course to design the “tank”, a mobile bunker that could destroy enemy defenses and breach their lines all whilst drawing fire away from the subsequent infantry charge.
In Ukraine, we have drones, a similarly modern approach to warfare. If left unchecked, rather than going after armored vehicles, these drones can be used to drop all manner of explosive munitions on sheltering infantry such as those in trenches, and mind you, this is still a relatively new use for them.
In the future, I expect there to be specialized military heavy drones that can drop far more munitions, essentially acting as an airstrike of extreme precision, and even then, this is not considering guided weapons which can be dropped from a height that simple infantry weaponry cannot intercept.
As a result, both sides have started equipping their tanks with roof protection, starting with the “cope cage”, and eventually (particulary on the Russian side) encasing the entire vehicle in sheds of sheet metal and netting. In addition, we have begun to see very rapid development of anti-drone weaponry in countries all across the globe, whether mounted in a remote-controlled weapon station or an individual drone defence vehicle.
For the moment, until more advanced drone-carried munitions are developed, these defensive measures are sufficient enough, and once said munitions are employed, I expect that we will see newer advancements in anti-drone protections, this possibly being the next step in tank development. I particularly see promise in 30mm RCWS, they are more than capable of taking out drones with proximity ammo long before they ever get close enough to drop their payload.
Because the issue is that armored vehicles are very important for both drawing heavy enemy fire and destroying fortifications that may be preventing said infantry from advancing, so they will never truly dissapear. I think that if they did, someone would come up with the idea of the armored personnel carrier, and the concept would restart once again
Of course, you won’t see certain players complaining when they get JPN, German, and US vehicles…
But when Japan could get one of theirs in a subtree? Clearly unacceptable.
I don’t think players are at fault, a majority of players (Chinese too) oppose Gaijins decision or are at least neutral on the topic.
This is something that Gaijin need to realize and fix, not something players should fight over.
Another stream without Japan…
yep they forgot about us AGAIN
They said Japan got something but I guess is another blue fleet ship…
With what was said at the end of the russian stream, Japan will be getting multiple vehicles this patch for both ground and air and most likely naval too
Then maybe CTWV, but tbh the cannon is suck
“Do we have anything for JP?”
“For air for ground”
“But not ready yet for server”
hope them not lie
So i just re-watched the russian stream with english subtitles which is not perfect.
Interestingly it showed that they said “Japan is planning unified technology, but for now they all are not ready for display” and then they go on saying that they can show up on the dev server with a later update to it.
Might just be me overthinking but that seems very interesting.
