Isn’t those star mean to the general on board? Are we gonna have a general as a vehicle crew? Medal buff: Crew suvivalbility +5

it’s probably to distinguish between battalions or companies or whatever
i doubt they’d somehow convince tens of generals to drive in relatively cramped tanks when they’re used to riding comfy parade cars lol

4/5 star tank must be a pretty good tank. Would buy again customer service was poor though.

I got two nukes today, one with the Ho-Ri CQB fight and another with the ST-AT3 long range map. I finally reached Rank VI and I’m wondering what I should grind next. Should I go straight for the Type-16 (P)? I still need to stock grind the STB-2 and Type-74C. I’m planning to grind the Type-87 first because I want to skip the M163 before the tech tree connection becomes permanent.

Spoiler

If you want to get to type 10 fast you could try grinding type74e, type 16 is good but dm23 is not a good round at 9.3. For me I would prefer grind the Thai line first, stingray is kinda fun, but oplot 💩Forget to add, type89 is real fun, nuke printer🤩

Ill be real i literally grinded the Type 87 with the RCV (P) and Ho Ri prod and then solo grinded the Type 87 RCV with just the type 87 until i had a almost full 9.0 lineup.

Resume

Type 89 on artic base or whatever the hell that map is called is my easy nuke map lol.

Still waiting for the furry oplot, btw I think oplot can be moved to 11.7 if there will be no buff of armor for it.
Edit: Wait, is this for a dust- proof blanket, they covered its optics 🥲

Interestingly, I find the Oplot very nice and fun. It’s by no means some op bullcrap, but it’s just fine.

It seems that a modified Protector RS4 from Kongsberg will be the RWS of choice for the JGSDF’s new Patria (the “and” before Kongsberg’s is a mistranslation).

The RS4 can be equipped with various small caliber weapons ranging from 5.56mm to 40mm, with the potential of an ATGM in addition. For now, I will assume that the Japan-specific modifications are to allow for fitting of the Type 96 AGL and maybe something like the Type 01 ATGM if we’re lucky.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see experiments with the future 30mm RCWS down the road, but as of now there are no plans for combination with the AMV.

Surprised we have not seen many ATGM armored trucks and cars from Japan it would fit them and would be light enough to cross there bridges. Also dirt cheap. Maybe this means we could see the Komatsu LAV or something in a more usable form. Or did I get the whole thing wrong?

Oplot was always seen as a unstoppable armored beast in people heads so this was the inevitable outcome when you cant 1 v 4 other top tier MBTs. Maybe her armor may change a little in the future but that’s up to Gaijin.

Well Japan currently uses *makeshift ATGM carriers with the Komatsu LAV and Type 96 WAPC, where missiles are stored aboard but the launcher is not physically attached to the vehicle. They seem pretty contempt with this, so I don’t expect a replacement anytime soon.

With the addition of the first RWS to enter service however, it would make sense to mount the missile directly on the Protector and so I hope that this will be implemented whenever such systems are purchased.

*Longer range ATGM systems do exist in the form of MPMS and MPM but these are more for use against landing operations/larger concentrations of armored forces that would be too risky to engage with the aforementioned carriers.

what is it being bolted too?
never mind I thought that vehicle was something else.

I hope to see the Type 96 and Middle-range multi-purpose missile in game if the Chinese/ North Korean sub tree get there’s they seem useful but would suffer in any built up map.
