I like it

Well, thing is the bug report as been approved and considered fixed.
The report i made was for two things, first is the problem with the vehicle pivoting with one track. It used to have ‘stutter’ behavior if you try to rotate the Type 10 or TKX hull without using neutral steering.
This bug is however fixed recently.

The second problem is what you have described, this issue remained untouched and these vehicles still feel awful when turning.

So since the bug report is labelled as fixed so this is most likely no longer in their ‘stuff to fix’ list, feel free to do a new report though…

Community Bug Reporting System Report for the second part passed 3 months ago, maybe we can ask smin to forward it.

Was just about to send this one too.

Isn’t the IR Type 81C supposed to fire even without a proper IR lock?

I did some testing with a friend of mine, tested his Spyder and my Tan-SAM. Spyder was a total failure, but that’s not what this is about.

The ARH Type 81C was very easy to defeat - it procs RWR so you can just notch and chaff easily as any other ARH missile. So the farther lock range isn’t really that much of a plus. You’re not hitting anything past 8 kms anyway.

The IR one is basically unflareable and doesn’t proc RWR, but it doesn’t lock onto front aspect targets until like 6 - 7 kms away (by which point you’re already dead).

In my opinion, the IR Type 81C should be able to be fired even without a proper IR lock, especially if you have a target locked with the FCS radar. Right now, the system isn’t really that much better than our old Type 81.

Should the penetration of jm33 fired by tkx be higher ? (Just curious)

Doubt it, iirc the barrel lenght is the same as with L/44.

This is the exact thing i feared with the new ARH slingers being added
ARH missiles are easy enough to defeat from a jet and using it as a SAM is even easier

I was hopeful gaijin would change some mechanics to make them more reliable Like always using datalink or something but they did not

Took JP 20years to reinvent a 36 year’s old gun(at that time)🤡, guess we will never see a new 105mm apfsds.🫠

What are you talking about? The Type 10 gun? It’s rated for much higher pressures than L/44.

Then the penetration should be higher

it wouldnt because there is no change in propellant, so regardless of whether TKG can support higher pressures, DM33 will have the same penetration because the velocity is the same

Didn’t notice🫠

is that type 60 with 4 recoilless guns?

think this was a prototype? I remember seeing it a while back w/ a sign infront of it saying “prototype”. Could’ve been smth else. I’ll try to find it.

using google translate, it looks to be a prototype. I’m sure someone who speaks Japanese can translate it better though ^^

need this japanese m50 in tech tree now

What about the radar? Does it get notched? Was wondering if datalink helps ignore chaff

As I said, it gets notched and chaffed about as effortlessly as any other ARH missile in the game.

Is the ARH Type 81 more effective against helis, or are they ‘permanently notching’ due to usually being in the air at very low speeds?
