I need this so much, I don’t want to grind a whole ass nation (Germany) just to get a strong AA.

But similar Tan-SAM Kai radar works. Both Tan-SAM Kai and Type 03 has the electro scanning mode and circle search mode. Type 03 rotate speed is much faster - 45 RPM
Type 81C radar truck is actually correct in question of type (I am not sure about minor issues in model)

What’s weird is that Gaijin did add a partial area search mode to the radar, but not correctly (it moved during the scan, which is incorrect, as the scan is purely electronic), so they just removed it completely. I hope they had not given up on it.

Some of those reports were accepted over a month ago… and so far, the only thing Gaijin did is just slightly adressing the issue of missiles hitting the ground after launch.
It was already reported in time of Dev Server

Still I would have preffered the older chassi so it wouldn’t be such a copypaste for the type 11 xD
The type 11 if its ever added wont really be an upgrade over the 81 if anything its a downgrade cause of less missiles
Their range is the same and seeker performance would only be marginally better
What we really need is the type 03
Quite convenient that at about 10:30 you can see both Type 87’s and Tan-SAM’s radars rotating. Might actually pass for a bug report.

We are going to need far, far larger maps for these things to be added. Playing the tansam now i can barely leave the safety of my spawn zone before getting killed from an HE shell from 1.5km away.

Cause i dont see the Tan-SAM radar spinning at all in that video But i do see the truck is sitting in the background on the left they just never seemed to turn its radar on while the 87 and 03 both are running
No, they uses totally different radars with different turning speed
As you said at this video we see Type 11’s radar on the left and it stopped turning at the moment when we see it. It is not turned off but mostly changed to sector scanning mode where radar doesn’t move
The turning speed of both radars are different. It is 10 RPM for Type 11 (same for Type 81) and 45 RPM for Type 03
Cant the Tan Sam radar stop rotating when locking onto targets though or it just scans none stop rotating?
Yes, it does stop rotating when tracking a target.
