Doubt it, iirc the barrel lenght is the same as with L/44.
This is the exact thing i feared with the new ARH slingers being added
ARH missiles are easy enough to defeat from a jet and using it as a SAM is even easier
I was hopeful gaijin would change some mechanics to make them more reliable Like always using datalink or something but they did not
What are you talking about? The Type 10 gun? It’s rated for much higher pressures than L/44.
Then the penetration should be higher
it wouldnt because there is no change in propellant, so regardless of whether TKG can support higher pressures, DM33 will have the same penetration because the velocity is the same
Didn’t notice🫠
is that type 60 with 4 recoilless guns?
think this was a prototype? I remember seeing it a while back w/ a sign infront of it saying “prototype”. Could’ve been smth else. I’ll try to find it.
using google translate, it looks to be a prototype. I’m sure someone who speaks Japanese can translate it better though ^^
need this japanese m50 in tech tree now
What about the radar? Does it get notched? Was wondering if datalink helps ignore chaff
As I said, it gets notched and chaffed about as effortlessly as any other ARH missile in the game.
Is the ARH Type 81 more effective against helis, or are they ‘permanently notching’ due to usually being in the air at very low speeds?
I didn’t get the chance to test that unfortunately. Wanted to try new SAMs vs helis today, but alas, the dev server is offline.
Your comment wasn’t clear as it seemed you are only referring to the ARH missile, presumably in mad dog mode. I was curious how the ARH would function with radar and datalink as in theory, as long as the radar vehicle can track, the ARH missile should hit thanks to datalink
I just quite curious why they using 105mm on the prototype and change it to 106mm on type 60?
That’s not how it works sadly. Once the missile’s seeker goes pittbull, you can’t guide it onto something else.
I know that but, I’d assume it will go back into IOG + DL as the doppler filter kicks in. Though it being SPAA and looking up, it may never kick in and be always vulnerable to chaff
There was a suggestion for it on the old forum, although nowadays many of the photos are broken.
