Btw the STB-1 turret is really ugly knowing what the real STB-1 actually supposed to look like.

Spoiler

STB-1 turret is roughly the same dimension as Type 74 turret but they messed it up, classic Gaijin.

I realised that something’s off when I saw the mantlet damage model doesn’t match the visual model. Btw the tank got renamed to stb-2? Is that correct??

That’s insane, I did not know that the Chi-He turret still exists. Hopefully the lost Chi-To can be found now too.

stb 1 apparently had an autoloader. and the one ingame doesnt. so. yeah

Both the STB-1 and STB-2 both had a semi autoloader IRL. The difference is the RWS and some of the lifting lugs. Based on the model in game we have the STB-2

Making a suggestion on this for the US Would be dang on amazing.

i don’t mind if the US players want it but i think gaijin doesn’t accept vehicle modified for museum otherwise they would have changed the Panther II to equip with a Panther G turret.

Yeah that is why i don’t play the STB, i can’t stand looking at it especially how much the turret ‘‘neck’’ is exposed.

Yes they renamed it in the last patch and i believe it is correct. The STB-1 doesn’t have the lifting ring above the gun mantlet. The STB in the game does which makes it a STB-2.

Btw i 'd like the STB-1 model in WoT, way more detailed than ours.

Yes. It is also written in the ARMOR MAGAZINE published by the US army armor school July-August 1970. By Tomio Hara.

When i discovered this article a few years ago, a person made a bug report for the night vision device for STB-1 used this as a source of reference and it was succesfully added into the game as modification.

We know that this is only a assisted-loader and not fully automatic but there is no information regarding its RoF. Personally i believe this is the same type of auto-loader found in the ST-A 3 and despite there is no information on how fast the ST-A 3 could reload but Gaijin gave it 6 second, same could be done for the STB.

Sorry, I don’t know where that photo came from. The photo was sent to me by a friend on Discord. If it is reprinted without permission, I’m going to apologize and delete the post.

I doubt that the turret was placed on by the staff of the Museum and i don’t believe you would be right. But idk.

The image is from my collection and i saw my twitter link in the image. but it’s fine, i was surprised.

The last time you doubt, you spread false information on my thread and i have to correct it.

If you are going to prove me wrong again at least use your proper source instead of ending the reply with just ‘‘but idk’’, like if you don’t know then don’t try to prove someone is wrong ?! lmao

Regarding that Chi-Ha, nobody said the staff mounted a turret on it, i said the Americans did it which implied that it could be the military, engineers or even the museum staff.
And why else did they do it if not for making it a museum piece ? It is not like they attepted to get the tank in US service.

The US military will do anything if it means allowing it to be tested. Do consider a lot of equipment that’s captured ends up at the Aberdeen proving grounds at the time. So it is very likely a lot of that said equipment ends up being tested there.

One more thing when I write Idk I mean I do not know, if you assuming that idk is referring to you, then you are mistaken it was referring to whenever the military slapped the Chi-He turret onto a Chi-Ha Hull. Should I have written it better I should have but I passed out right after I typed it since it was 6 in the morning and I was tired as hell. But this part is off-topic so I digress. Whether it was Military personnel or not doesn’t change the fact that it would be nice to see in the game.

Chi-Ha was the most produced Japanese medium tank of the war meaning there were a ton of Chi-Ha all over across the Pacific islands. So combining a Chi-Ha hull with a rare Chi-He turret to reproduce a Chi-Ha kai for testing doesn’t make sense when there were hundred of real Type 97.

Beside, the Chi-Ha that was tested at the Aberdeen proving ground is a real Chi-Ha kai not that frankestein. Picture below.

That is why it is most likely that the Chi-Ha hybrid only existed to be displayed in a museum, and thus it can’t be implemented into the game unless Gaijin changes it. I brought this tank up only because i planned to suggest it as a Japanese premium tank when i thought it was modified for combat.

Perhaps they can add it if they are willing to stretch the lines though I’m getting the feeling it would be an event vehicle rather than a premium though if you do suggest it go ahead would be neato to see what others think.

Some Type 74 in gorgeous paint schemes 😎
