I find its a refinement over the 3 and its ability to drop a 250 bomb. I like the A6M5 otsu with its 13.2 mm mg while maintaining its flexibility.
I think this issue comes down to people trying to turn fight the zero in a p-51. When the A6M5 was 4.7 you could keep the sky clean as most people would try to dog fight you even in thunderbolts. I though up tier it to 5.7 with no issue in ground as everyone is forced to fight on the deck.
I like the A6M3s more as well, but the A6M5s are noticeably faster, roll better, and the Ko/Otsu have more 20mm ammo.
A6M3 gets drop tank therefore is better than any other prop in game.

Never needed the drop tank. Unlike jets I find drop tanks on fighters to be kind of useless in game. Unlike IRL you are not patrolling the pacific or flying escort to Germany. Jets though burn lots of fuel especially in how we use them as interceptors.
Its for the larp, ive never needed drop tanks apart from sim or EC maps but even then i would rather use 102% throttle just to cruise at alt even in my mig 29.

People don’t know how to fight a zero. Kind of like real life where Spitfires late in WW2. These engagements went poorly for the spitfires because the pilots where used to fighting BF 109s not A6Ms.

Yup recently they signed contracts with Australia for upgraded Mogami frigates and some other nations are interested in their older stuff

Just looks like a sell off to me (lots of good old battle rifles that need a new home). Do you know what nations are trying to buy and what? What do you think the Type 74 tank is going to get some ERA kit and sold to some African or South American country?

Much better than getting scrapped or thrown in some lake. It would be really interesting to see how some vehicles could be upgraded to suit other nations needs.

Don’t know specifics right now the biggest one is definitely the Mogami contracts
If we ever go modern for naval I wonder where the Australian Mogami will go U.K or JP? Lol

Type 74 is officially out of service but not scrapped but I have a felling from people who work in the import export industry that Japan has a tall mountain to climb on this stuff. Two of the major weaknesses is near by South Korea and Chinese military exports. People right now love Korean equipment like artillery, tanks, and subs. China has a good chunk of Middle Asia and Africa (main markets). Japan is also late to the party concerning Europe as most contracts have dried with Korea / U.S.A. (USA has some industrial issues right now you know 😏) Surplus parts and equipment is a easy market but also Japan will have to balance export rules (international / others). There is also the issue of Japan has limited history of exporting weapons even before WW2 and the issue of cost what would a Japanese style of export equipment look like.
Lots of questions
FYI bootleg parts for military equipment is a strange industry there have been reports of parts for old M60 tanks being made in China, India and Russia from independent machine factories (pistons, pumps etc.) Everything from rifle parts to wheels. Very hard to track down due to there small nature bits and bobs. Japan could in theory export lots of parts for different equipment.

She is not even laid down yet. Though I find it funny Australia is buying a ship class called Mogami.

Reenact, it’s putting the “re-” prefix on the word enact (To perform/to happen).
