General Japanese & JASDF General Discussion

Maybe you’re right, but as far as I know, no design work has been started on the J7W2

True however I am looking at this from a game developer point of view, one is MUCH easier than the other to make realistic representation of in the game which makes me wonder why on earth they picked the R2Y2 over J7W2…

I don’t know, I just know that I want at least one new plane for Japan in a future update (apart from the F-2 of course)

At this point I just want somethign with four 30mm, preferable 3 of them to replace the R2Y2s but what candidate do we even have for 3rd? Ki-162 is probably just gonna have two guns and most likely 20mm since the He-162 broke itself apart by firing 30mm allegedly…

Ki-162… It’s fiction.

AFAIK it was a proposed idea at best, that is not much to go by but what else is a candidate tough?

The Japanese only received drawings of the He-162, but most likely did nothing with them. The Tachikawa Ki-162 is a fictitious name. Based on that, the He-162 was simply given the Ki appendix instead of the He. The Japanese did not do that. Then instead of the Ki-200 it would have been the Ki-163.

A better idea is the Ki-202, on which design work has begun

So the more likely name would been Ki-202 or 203 then? That makes sense.

Gaijin is gonna BR this thing into missiles lobbies further than Ki-200!

Edit: I assume you meant the first one?

This one looks like the Focke-Wulf Ta-183…

Yes, Ki-202 vs F-22. An epic duel that Ki-202 wins, thanks to the power of the divine emperor Hirohito

In fact, it can be said that the He-162 had its counterpart. Kikka, would be a people’s fighter/bomber like the He-162. It was supposed to be simple to produce and operate. The Japanese wanted to introduce more advanced aircraft Ki-200/J8M, Ki-201 and Ki-202 and propeller A8K, J6K

Well if we just get the J7W2 and Ki-201 you can make a full team for Arcade using the Kikka as last one. also unless they fix the BR for Ki-200 it is not gonna be a valid 3rd anytime soon… x-x

I want the Ki-202 so bad. The extra fuel would be amazing

Gaijin: nope ur wrong there pal
the community who actually does research: Sureeeeeeee

And that community who really did research found out that 30mm cannons wasn’t planned or suggested for this plane and it is fake
That is why plane removed…

While the J7W2 we know every single part, only needed the Ne-130 engine that never came… :(

Even more fake because it’s creating wasn’t started…

Only because the engine never arrived, it was planned from the start to switch to a jet engine when they came which never happened.

In his own words, Kiyohara wrote, “At the ‘Shinden’ Prototype plan requirements in 5th of June 1944. Air Technical Arsenal’s engine department instructed, ‘Proceed with the design taking into consideration the use of a gas turbine engine.’”

Kunitake Kiyohara transelated words “I thought the Tomoe War era was finally coming to an end. Considering the engine arrangement of the Shinden, it didn’t seem that difficult to replace it with a jet engine. I remember feeling excited that it would be something I wanted to make happen as soon as possible. In the end, this did not come to fruition, but Kyushu Aircraft also prototyped the twin-engine jet attack aircraft, the Kikka, designed by Nakajima Aircraft, and the war ended when the first unit was almost complete.”

The only thing shooting it down as a suggestion is that it was not designed yet despite being 80% complete and tested with a propeller engine, it is a way more realistic plane than the R2Y2.

There wasn’t any starts of changing engine and the fact that it was taken into consideration during creating prop variant means nothing in equation of creating plane
So talks about 80% complete is wrong

I don’t say it is not true but once I will see at least the name of source
