Yeah, I don’t think it should get a BR increase in ARB for AAM-3. But if there is really no other option I would still take that over just not having AAM-3 at all.
If it’s optional anyways nothing is lost, and you can still choose not to use it if you don’t want to.
I mean using this feature, so normally it’s the same, but players can choose higher BR + AAM-3 if they plan to use it for Nuclear Escalation for example

Yes, so if you play normal ARB you can select 12.3 BR and play with only AIM-9L. That’s the point here.
You aren’t losing anything just because there is an option that might be useful somewhere else, or just generally important to the real vehicle so people want it in game.
My point, that EJ Kai without AAM-3 now is underpowered for it’s br, and at this point easier to get rid of AIM-9L and AIM-7M (if there is difference between 7F and 7M) to play on 12.0 where it would be much stronger, while still would lost to F-4S in dogfights and would not have HMD
That’s also possible, there is nothing saying there can’t be a lower BR configuration. We aren’t limited to just one anymore now, so it could go to 12.0 as you say, but still have the option to be a higher BR with access to more advanced weapons.
Problem that your enemies would have more advanced weapon anyway.
You must be not understanding my point AS weaponary doesn’t play much role there, GCS-1 are not working properly now, ASMs questionable.
Also we have F/A-18 on 12.3 with same AA equipment only 2 less missile (either 2x AIM-9L and 4x AIM-7M or 6x AIM-9L and 2 AIM-7M). It’s easily to say that F/A-18 better than F-4EJ in dogfight even without missiles.
Also as other example we have F-4E AUM (Greek one)(Which is late F-4E with aegile) with 4x AIM-9M and 4x AIM-120 while on 13.7 there’s F-16AM with 4x/2x AIM-120 and 2x/4x AIM-9M in same time F-15C (which is F-15J also) with 4x AIM-120 and 4x AIM-9M are on 14.0. So putting on same br F-4EJ Kai and F-15J are wrong decision

I’m not here to talk about where it should be placed in BR exactly, the only thing I want is for the F-4EJ Kai to have access to unrestricted loadouts. Now that these can be optional there is no reason not to have that.
Now if this would be 12.3, 12.7 or whatever else, isn’t really relevant to my point. All I’m saying is I want to use the new custom BR feature to allow optional unrestricted loadouts, but still have it at a well-rounded and balanced BR by default.

Wonder when we will get more Japan stuff, seems like we got completely ignored this update and given nothing. At all. Probably another ship, not that it’s of any value for a game mode that’s dead.

We got munitions which I have to say is better than people think. (new vehicles are cool and all) I also think Gaijin is planning to use the new heat seeking bombs to test new drop and self target weapons anything in the seeker is what it goes after.
Also please Gaijin please bring in Japan’s WW2 heat seeking Ke-Go bombs.

the 8.7 line-up would do great with a gun armed light tank… the RCV (p) is a bit long in the tooth at this point ;-;
