Actually if you look at dates of development and program start this is slightly before things like the Typhoon and Rafale came to the public.
How to play the Thailand AV-8S late? That thing is pure suffer to me right now…
As with all Harriers:
- Learn to flare properly, due to the issues with how gaijin model their simplified IR signatures the Harriers have an abnormally high IR signatures that require perfect flare deployment with as minimal energy loss as possible.
- Rat it up, the one airframe advantage the Harriers have is low speed thrust/acceleration, use that hunt base bombers early game and to come into the furball at weird angles.
- Viffing can save you in a dogfight against less skilled pilots, by either giving tighter turns, acting as an airbrake, or bullying those trying to energy trap you by simply shifting into a VTOL flight style from a stall. So make sure to set your nozzle position keybinds.
I’d also advise to looking into guides for the Sea Harrier FRS.1 it’s extremely similar in game so most guides should also be applicable to the AV-8S late.
Know this technically ain’t the right place for this bug report link since this is for a Thai aircraft, buuuuuut it’s in the Japanese tree so I’m just gonna put this here

I was just looking through images of Thai F-16A OCUs and found some more armaments missing from the game.
GBU-16 1000lb guided bomb
Might be useful since they can be carried on the inner hardpoints unlike the GBU-10, which means they can be used alongside the 6 AGM-65s.
Unknown glide bomb
I’m not completely sure what it is, but it looks to be a GBU-12 variation. A glide bomb would be a very interesting option for the OCU, especially if it can carry 6 of them like the regular GBU-12.
Well the kit seem to large to be fitted into triple rack (so I guess one per pilon?) and this Is probably a diamond back Wing kit or something else.
Yeah, doesn’t seem to fit triple racks, but the double rack might be possible.
(I don’t have a War Thunder screenshot right now, but these are the ones the Thai F-16 uses too)
J7w1 got a buff
I have just seen that as well
changes aren’t live yet but seems really nice, less drag and much lower weight, unsure what the compressor power curve and manifold speed multiplier mean though.
AoA buff is also really good
It is, but even the current AoA limit is very high for a prop, most seem to do 12-13deg max. Clearly it isn’t benefitting much from that.
That is a later Ki-61-II, with the cut-down canopy that the Ki-100 also later received.
Bell H-13 prob was used to test different weapons.
well Japan would have something very useful and fun to grind in rank V.
Tachikawa Ki-162 lost brother of He 162.
Ki-201 lost brother of Me 262.
Jet powered J7W1
Kogisho Tenga (P1Y1 with jet engines) lost brother of Ar 234.
But it is not coming to reality since this game is more about modern stuff.
Toshiba unveiled a new aesa radar which seems to be for GCAP estimates put it at around ~1806 (not my estimate)
More on GCAP seems like Japan will take the lead in the airframe design and structure with emphasis on composite material technology. I believe they are also in charge of engines by MHI. U.K will focus on electronics with possibilities of Japan and U.K coming eith their own radars its unknown so far if each nations GCAP will differ a bit.
