My article got published on the First of August. Will I be getting my GE payout at some point this month or do I have to wait an entire month???

You might have to wait a whole, reward comes at the start of next month (so probably sept 1st). (You trying to get ho-ri, right?)
Which sucks. I want at least one of the Ro-Ris, but if I gotta wait until next month it’s too late. Plus I only have 529 GE so even if I get the full 5k it’s still not enough for the 6090GE ho-ri
