those types of bombs (laser guided bombs) are working by first droping the bomb but after you release it it wont guide itself until it reaches a distance of 2.5-3.5 km away from the target. in real life, that distance is between 5 and 8 km depending on the speed and altitude of the aircraft from which the bomb/missile is dropped but it seems like in warthunder, even if your speed and altitude are high enough, you still wont be able to controll the bomb until its 3 km away from the target. thats a very bad thing for the agm 123 skipper as it was made to be launched from 15 km away and the target can sometimes be outside of the range in which the missile/bomb gets control and guides itself to the target. so in conclusion the range of which gbu and agm 123 start guiding themselves should be higher , around 7 to 8km in good conditions.
