I have some good source material
Added a section in the OP for denied suggestions thus far, mainly pertaining to the HMD, x6ARH loadout, and AAM-4B
An ‘ungimped’ AAM-4 would just be the current AAM-4 with the same range and less maneuverability. It already matches its range specifications, while exceeding it’s maneuvering performance.
An AAM-4B would have worse time to target in exchange for slightly greater range due to lofting, and a better seeker.
Is there any images of it armed in this full configuration? I’ve only seen just the 4x AAM-3’s and 4x AAM-4/AAM-4B’s.
There is no other “full” config. 4+4 is the maximum according to all reliable sources, everything else is speculation.
I’ve always seen that source floating around with the STA-3/9 sub-pylons with the “possible” △ x6~8 AAM4/B configuration, what exactly is that and where did that info come from?
Does the JASDF has some double MRM pylon sitting around or is that just some fantasy?
Nope.

That’s fair, still all in favor of ASM-2B’s and GCS-1 Glided Bombs though
Even so, that’s still 6x vice the 4x
no because you have to decide if you want sta 9 out or in you cant have both
Thats still from a Hobby Model kit, no actual source.
On that line, it says out or in for both sides (which is 1x per side) on top of the 4x existing AAM-4 mounts which means 6x. Either way though, it doesn’t apply since it’s fake sadly. ***If I understand it correctly lol, I’m a ground guy
Interesting, I feel like the STA-9/10 sub position, would cover the location typically occupied by the roundel.
What was the word on STA-2/10 not being able to carry ARH missiles? Was the pylons definitively incompatible or something?
yeah different pylon mount
It feels like there is no other Japanese aircraft in the tech tree until F-35 besides the F-2 Super Kai.
