Like many war thunder players, I rely on sounds such as gunfire and engines to determine where enemies and allies are in relation to my vehicle. I use sony wh-1000xm4 headphones as my audio and my settings are set to headphone audio.
Recently in the last two updates, I have noticed that I start battles fine and then at some point those important audio cues randomly disappear which leads to annoying deaths. By the way, this is the only game on my PC which has this problem.
What could be causing my issue? What should I check/do to ensure this is prevented?

First, if you use sound mods, try disabling them as they could cause these kind of problems if they are outdated/mixed together/wrongly installed.
But you don’t, these issues are probably related to the game code in itself and maybe not the hardware.
What I can advise you to do :
- Try changing your game’s audio output mode (stereo, 5.1, 7.1, etc.)
- Try disabling Windows Sonic for Headphones in your computer sound settings.
- Try updating your audio drivers or your headset software.
