When trying to start the game via Steam on Linux, it will fail to launch with the following error:
Cannot open assembly '/mnt/Games/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/War Thunder/eac_wt_mlauncher.exe': File does not contain a valid CIL image.
Running what according to steam is the native Linux build, so I am mildly surprised by the .exe files. I also cannot seem to find a download for the linux client on their website, did they drop support?

The Linux client download is still where it’s always been, If you go to the main WT homepage, Then click the “Download Game” button the Linux client should be auto selected to be downloaded by clicking on the big “Download Game” button.
As for your issue, I have responded to your bug report on our bug reporting platform.
I see, I got confused by the menu only explicitly naming Windows and MacOS. The big red download game button does indeed seem to get me a linux download.
