I’m having a problem getting the game to open. I’m playing on a Mac and as of last night, every time I try to open the game it crashes. I have updated the OS and reinstalled the game, but no luck. Any ideas?

If u already tried reinstalling hmmmm what mac do you use? Have you tried switching to ultra low quality? And can you send a screenshot of your error message?
I tried all of that, still not working. It’s a Mac with the M1 chip but it was working fine until a couple days ago. Do you mean the code that pops up?

Since you’re using M1 same as me, try this worked for me:
Force Quit war thunder
open finder and go to ~/Library/Application Support/WarThunder/ or where your files for war thunder are
delete the config.blk and config.blk.old if you see it as well.
should work.
Also could be a graphics issue so switch to lower graphics.
Lastly if all else fails go to the settings in war thunder launcher and switch the renderer to OpenGL and not METAL.

I can’t find any of those files, and I don’t have an Open GL option - just auto and Metal.
Did you search the whole macbook for those files. Like type in search “config.blk”?
And were you using auto or metal first? If metal switch to auto.

Correct, there are no config.blk files anywhere on my mac that I can find.
I tried both auto and metal, and ultra low graphics.
Ok we need to try everything now:
Use borderless windowed or normal windowed mode
Disable discord overlays and fps counters or anything like that
and make sure you sent the full error codes if there is more and you can redact personal information
Finally make sure you close every application when trying to open it. Just have war thunder open.
