Hello since last update i can’t even start the game.
No specific error, the game just close itself, no error message, nothing…
Someone else ? Someone fixed ?
I have quite a good computer and never had a problem before (playing since game beginnings).

Hi
Try from updating GPU drivers + check game files.

Already tried :
updated GPU with last driver version
verified steam files
launched directly from game launcher (also tried “work in progress” client)
tried to launch as admin / compatibility mode
restarted several times
Always have the same crash.
Ive encounterer issue that game crashed as soon as i spawned.
Clearing the cache and adding the exception for the game in antivirus seems to have worked but i wish i could tell you which of those it was.

how do you clear the game cache ?
AppData/Local/Warthunder, theres folder called chache (and compiled shaders). You can delete content of both, then verify the integrity of game files.
Was facing the same issue, no chache folder to be seen in appdata\local\warthunder.
Used the game launcher to switch from custom to high graphics which fixed the issue.
Seems like gaijin have removed the custom graphics setting.
I’m having the same problem. I tried adjusting the graphics settings but the game still crashes when opening.

After hours debugging tries.
I think the problem’s coming from User Skins if you have put them all in another place and try to launch ?
Made the trick for me (i believe anyway i tried dozens of stuff)
cache folder is in the War Thunder installatiom folder. Go there and delete it.
Game won’t launch from Steam at all. it just shows the splash screen and just closes without anything. The game works just fine before I ate dinner and now its like this. ending crashpad_handler.exe did not help.

Similar crash for me. Only gets as far as the splash screen and instantly crashes. :(
