Gaijin you NEED to change this

the cost of squadron vehicles are WAY too much… if you are in a REALLY active squadron,
and are active your-self, it still takes 87 days (MINIMUM) to get a Leopard 2 PL or Otplot M or T80U… please reduce the amount needed or increase the amount of SAP you get.
squadron vehicles don’t have premium rewards or go on sale, so please change that.

i think its fine that it costs so much

Squadron vehicles? Do you mean the premiums without modifiers? You are not supposed to grind them.

hes talking about the green vehicles in the premium lane

Yes me too. Do you really think Gaijin added them for squadrons? They are a GE money grab from gaijin, nothing more.

If you’re so susceptible to FOMO it’s mostly your fault. It takes time, but it’s a major gateway into any tech tree in the game. Waiting a couple of months to open it is absolutely fine. And free…

We don’t need more knuckleheads rolling around in squadron tanks, the current route of progression is still far less than how long it would take to reach that vehicle if it were a tech tree one.

Fomo? Do you really think I care abot squadron vehicles? I just pointed out to our friend that they are so tedious to grind on purpose. Personally I dont care about them, there is not single one that is really interesting.

I think they should increase the amount of XP you get to 30k/3days instead of 20k/3days. It’ll make math easier, and let you get vehicles much faster too.

yeah thats what i was hoping cuz i want to get a VT5 and a Otpolot M for china not 1 or the other

So what you’re doing is skipping the actual tech tree grind with squadrons, and fair enough but that should come with a hefty time penalty

I believe there should already be a thread that covers the subject.

But here are my 5 cents: it is wild that people say “b-b-but this is to not let them newbies reach top tier and promote one-death leaves!1!!1!” and “it is free to get top tier, so stop whining”.

My brothers in Christ, what are you larping about?

As it was stated, the only reason why such research points cost remains the same and the flow of the said points is the same as 5 years ago is and only is because it encourages people to buy them for golden eagles to bypass the tedious grind.

20k/3d was worth it when there was like 10 squadron vehicles across the entire game and they were unique that way, and the uniqueness was preserved via time limitations (e.g. you can’t grind it in 2 days like you would with your top-tier premium non-stop).

But with every update the number of the vehicles grows to the point where you have to play 6.5 years non-stop in order to unlock all CURRENTLY available squadron vehicles. And that’s assuming you play every day and your squadron hits the maximum efficency.

Squadron vehicles are literally just there as another source of $ for Gaijin as these are still purchasable via GE and some vehicles are indeed more interesting than their premium pack counterparts.

The changes to this part of economy is long overdue, and I wonder when will something changes.

they do… you cant efficently grind from rank 1-5/6

i see

The goal of Squadron vehicles isn’t to collect them all, instead it’s to add some substance to certain lineups and provide a gateway into brs for new players.

There is no reason why anyone would collect all of them, nor should that be the aim.

Squadron vehicles exist to promote activity in the game and consequently for the squadrons the play take parts, it’s something completely optional to have, the least squadron vehicles contribute for the player itself is adding one vehicle less for the requirement to unlock the next rank and that’s it, there are exceptions of vehicles that have advantages over regular tech tree and premium vehicles like the F-117, AH-56A, BMP-2M and Z-10A. Shame on the person who buy squadron vehicles early as they offer no benefits compared to regular tech tree vehicles and much less to premium vehicles.

Substance to line up? You mean changes to BRs that happen once every 3-4 months which ruins one and updates other lineups?

As I said, the more vehicles there are, the less possible it is to focus on a particular one. Especially for the ones who don’t no-life the game 24/7.

I am one of these examples. I can do 24/7 in summer for sure, but I play for 8-9 hours per week at average due to the density of studies and irl stuff during autumn-spring periods, and I am grinding Russian T-80UK for the last 4 months due to the said problems.

When I try to grind one vehicle, the other, more interesting one, emerges, and now I either have to put on a pause the one I was “grinding” for for the last 4 months OR keep going for the same thing until I finish it just to start the next one. And that’s considering no vehicle that catches my interest arrivres in the meantime (subjective for sure, but some are objectively more intetesting than the others), and that the one I was going for didn’t undergo changes so heavy it is borderline insufferable given the time wasted.

And I am not talking about making the limit of 999k or reducing the research cost to 20k or giving them points every 60 seconds, but simply increase the maximum point amount to like 40k and slightly increase the % of research points that goes to this “amount”. So that I, when I can no-life the game in summer, or anyone else who legit no-lifes it 24/7, don’t/doesn’t have to restrain the potential simply because “it is not meant for everyone”.

Like isn’t this idea – to motivate people to play the game – contradicted with this mechanic? So that when I can play 24/7, I get 20k at best, and when I can’t, I also get 20k, but not every 3 days but every 7 days. You can reach BR 10.3 of Sweden in 90 days, a time you waste to research the F 35 in the same very tech tree. And even then, a player that played straight for 90 days gets a grasp of what is going on in the game, and thus cannot be called “one-death leaver noob” or whatever when they get the thing while genuinely playing the game. And what if I have played for 5 years now, am I still considered a “one death leaver noob” simply because I (and many others in fact) would like to have a bit more room for action in order to get the thing?

Good, they shouldnt be accessible to ppl who have no business being at that br.
