This is true. Japan doesnt actually have a 14.0 aircraft yet, meanwhile Sweden already has 2.
So Thai Gripen Es for Japan next major and Sweden can get them later in the year :P

then it can at least go up in sim, where it’s the best 13.0 and it’s really not close (actually, i forgot about f-2, throw that up there, but most premium sim players got 0 braincells), or move the su-27 down (but that’s just… recompressing). I wish we had a 13.3 bracket and moved most 13.0s there or something. guaranteed down tiers are quite nasty for the gripen

There is no 13.3 bracket. If it went up to 13.3. It would be fighting 14.0s every single match. It would render it completely unplayable.
Maybe if we had a 13.3 bracket it could go up, but again, its a wierd aircraft to balance. an IR dogfighter in a meta of BVR combat. (though you can also just try to get into a match with sweden on your team and then the problem just goes away :P)
But 13.0 is just a complete mess in SB anyway, and thats not just Gripen As fault. Like you have F-4F ICE on one team, but its equivalent, the F3 Late for the other team is still at 13.3.

how does the Gripen C compare to the F-16C?
Better mobility but less armament and worse top speed, so id say sidegrade

Two things:
- The XP-50 player in the vid has still a negative K/D in it - luring rookies in a steep dive is just exploiting the severe high speed compression of XP-50s - their usual death sentence.
- The T-18B received a year or two ago a slight nerf - the B-18B is much lighter and turns imho way better. A T-18B is severely limited due to the missing air brake and the missing ventral (bottom) turret - you need to fight it like a P-61 (=from below).
I am using the B-18B from time to time as fighter after dropping my bombs (~2.000 kills vs 500 deaths) - you can basically turn with anything (except A6Ms, Spits, I-16s and rare 109 E-7s) and if you stay at very high alt just the I-225 and the P-47 D-28/30 are a real threat…
isnt 4 +2 a pretty typical F-16C loadout though?
Was more so referring to my Ground RB loadout rather than air since the Gripen is one of the worst platforms for ground with no multi pylon options

Its not standart its subpar. Its the 13.7 with the worst missile kit by far
seems like the Gripen is an upgrade in most ways then.
Eh, id rather top speed and acceleration but the F16C isnt the US’s best 13.7 its the F15C which could easily be 14.0, so swedens best is on par with the US’s worst seems right
But pretty much only to the F-16C. Almost everything else at 13.7 is a straigt upgrade over the Gripen C (and even then, if you want 6x AMRAAM, that is a possible loadout for the F-16C and not for the Gripen C)
j-11a just existing. lol idek why they even added that plane, spo-15 at top tier is so nasty. although it does get a good missile kit tbf, 6 r77s and 4 73s does have alot more killing power than a gripen c

Though R-73 + HMD is a potent combo and R-27ETs shoudlnt be disregarded either.
j-11b exists at the same br with better arh missiles (r-73s side grade over pl-8b) so you never see the j-11a anymore
you cant out accelerate a fox 3 but you can evade it by turning into a notch faster
