I mean Britain is probably going to get their AH64E either next patch or in December Japan could get something and Sweden is the only nation with nothing so as per usual they will lack behind everyone else in the air department.
I agree its annoying not getting a new heli but its not too surprising its not the first time gaijin has withheld vehicles from nations so that 1 specifc nation is the main focus for a patch.
I think sweden will be relegated to a completely fabricated top tier heli (possibly an AH-64E) or some far fetched allied one, since I see nothing viable for the future. Maybe gaijin will give you the F-16AJ treatment, maybe not, only time will tell
I highly doubt that, if that were the case we wouldve seen Halli Air Trial Mig 29 when sweden was stuck with a Viggen against the Mig 29 and F16 for over a year. I think people put too much thought into the T80 and avoid realizing it was mainly added to get people to buy the Mi 28 and have a Russian tank that came from the same trials.
There simply is nothing that can or will give sweden a viable helicopter for top tier as they lack any other trialed vehicles for that area nor looked at any which is what Japan did, though they didn’t trial the early F16. Id love to eat my own words but sweden will likely only ever get the AS50 Fennec as their last remaining helicopter if they get Denmark which only mounted Tows. I think the idea of even assuming sweden would get special treatment for air is plain silly and we have enough stretched logic and don’t need anymore given how much crying resulted from the AHS, Mi-28, and T80 U.
Was the Gripen A better than the F16C? It only had paveways amd RB75T, doesn’t seem that much better compared to other CAS platforms but to each their own.
And what that was a whole 3 months, doesn’t really seem like it was as OP as you made it out to be. We’ll just agree to disagree cause i couldn’t care less, i dont play top tier CAS anyways. Additionally were going off topic the post is about Britain suffering without FnF options for top tier.
Was more so referring to FnF on helis given that was the topic but ill say that was on me for not explaining that. Also ill assume you know RB75T isn’t an AGM 65G its an A/B model so again the Gripen having paveways doesn’t really make it all that special but i digress.
As for next update i agree i feel we will likely see a UK AH64E then or maybe in December. Most likely gaijin wanted the US to get some hype for it before bringing it to other nations.
You forgot about India, just like the devs… But in general, all helicopters except the AH-64E will be useless. LDIRCM is required for the current top tier gameplay. Everything without LDIRCM is a trash tier now.
It won’t help the vast majority of current top helicopters. In any case, they will be closer to the new ir slingers than the old saclos spaa. I don’t think they’ll ever recover from that.
Plus, we have 3 op helis now, and knowing the snails, soon they will probably nerf all helis to bring these 3 back to normal.
Maybe not for Typhoon unless maybe it has reduced amount cause 18 Brimstones with 2 modes is going to make Gaijin (and all of their Russian children) will be crying so much it will get instantly removed :(
I did say move it up in ground BR for a reason. besides a brimstone is less powerful per missile than the russian fake missile.
6 KH38MTs which can be CCRP lobbed from as soon as you take off from the airfield will still be safer than 12-18 Brimstones which you need to put yourself in direct danger to use. Balanced by risk-to-reward ratios.
im yet to really use brimstone in GRB much as i take a harrier to use helipads but the KH38MT has a 152kg TNT yield when the brimstone is really just a hellfire on steroids, that plus shape charge is pretty inconsistent in game makes their value questionable at times
To be fair the brimstone uses MMW and is much more powerful than the kh38 with its LOAL mode which would destroy top tier gameplay. I think the KH38 is bad right now and needs nerfing into the ground but the brimstone in its true form would wreck more havoc…
