Gaijin needs to up their moderating on user names

So I guess it wasn’t that offensive if you found it funny…

Which begs the question, why did you feel the need to report it?

Also curious of that.

Maybe he enjoys denouncing others?

Typically if you’re denouncing something you find it distasteful and probably wouldn’t find it funny at the same time lol.

Probably

Be more clever before you pretend to be.

I said it like that so anyone understood it without me having to type it out, which surely is in breech of forum rules.

No need for stupid insults from pretenders like you

Or are you trying to debate that “1488” does not refer to “the fourteen words” and “HH”?

I think it was more of, “it was actually enforced by jail time/punishment” instead of “it was a popular greeting”

If you were in on the idea, as many were, it was probably a popular greeting

I think we would have to clarify that it wasn’t 100% “popular - meaning the everyone enjoyed it” vs “Popular - meaning you’re going to say it no matter what since you HAVE to”.

I understand the need for some username modernization, as if you go to the rules like I did, you would notice that what you mentioned, is strictly aaginst the rules. It will most likely be dealt with properly.
On the other hand, some of these reports are just outrageous, and most likely a waste of time, so think about how many reports a moderator has to go through on a daily basis to get to that one name, that needs to be changed.
I dont think its a moderator numbers issue. The issue is how many people spam report because someone does something that hurts their feelings.

Experts Everywhere! The Dunning-Kruger effect is on full display ...

Stuff like these can be sorted out automatically.
Algorithms checking for banned words or contexts, and a no-list of various words.

Then, when trying to enter a banned username or squad name, they would simply get a screen prompt saying “(whatever) is against our rules” and no human resource had to be used for that

But now you know.

Yup, there are plenty of other games that have this implimented. It really shouldnt be that hard to either 1. Not be able to type it in the first place.
2. Have a program that is able to go through usernames and at leat flag them for further review.

But besides the whole username thing, the reporting in game needs an overhaul in general. They are so worried about usernames, but what happens to the people that I report who tk me for bombing a base before they do? (Those people have most likely have done it to other as well.)

I would also like to state that I have one game chat 30 day ban, yeah i said some stupid stuff getting heated over what others have said. And I have one ban over my name and to change it. However im facing a perma ban next time I do something wrong. According to their documents and warning/ban offenses and the time for each one. Not exactly sure why im facing a perma ban, so good work team!

Whats wrong with that ? Seems funny to me ngl.

I’ve been playing this game for 11 years since I was a literal child spent probably thousands of dollars on GE and premium accounts and I have never been banned to my knowledge before or if I was banned it was many years ago and now I am banned because I had the name “badplayer420” I thought it had the system where if you put in a “offensive” or “vulgar” username it wouldn’t let you and didn’t think anything of it now I’m at a risk of losing my account of 11 years for my next offense I have recently changed my name to what it is now and am waiting on a game master to unban me but like if they didn’t want the number 420 in there because it “promotes” an illicit substance than the system shouldn’t allow it Idek how many people have been banned this way but id wager it’s clogging up the system making the game masters lives harder war thunder should 100p upgrade their moderation system so that we aren’t guessing or making honest mistakes like this cause for years on most games I’ve played i always had the 420 on the back of my name and never had an issue until just now im honestly shocked this system hasn’t been implemented after all these years

Sadly the moderation can’t keep up with new abbreviations that keep being invented like “TND, TMD, TJD” which became popular recently, “NA7I” (which is literally just replacing the Z with a 7 lmao) and others…

I don’t know how they work or whether they are volunteers, but the fact that they are still squadrons with (Waffen)SS names clearly shows me that nothing is stirring.

There was a Chinese player his name was something like death to imperial America or something. They seem to get away with more due to the characters they are able to use and unless it gets flagged by a player probably wouldn’t ever get noticed.
