Nothing really else. Just would be nice to get the weight off since it’s a mostly pointless edition in most fights. It’s a neat package, but I’d really prefer to be lighter.
I can’t remember if it was on the forums or it was on a bug report, but one of the moderators basically said it’s baked into the model and it isn’t possible to take off as it is now.
Nope because if they did that, it’ll pretty much be a copy paste SepV1. And people will start asking questions why the SepV2 was introduced along with the 2A7 and T90M (which were improvements to their predecessor).
Also the devs mentioned the arat package is intertwined with the tank which will be difficult to take out.
ah gaijing and their spaghetti modeling
they are all copies.
To be fair, majority of top tier vehicles are just slight upgrades to their predecessor. At least with the SepV1, they gave it better thermals and ARAT. To my knowledge, when it was introduced, it was still facing the 2A6, and the BVM which I believe was fair. My main issue is Gaijin presenting the SepV2 as a new vehicle when it literally did nothing (meaningfully) better than the SepV1, where as the T90M and 2A7 did.
I won’t be surprised when the SepV3 is added, it will be added along with newer variants of the leopard and russian mbts.
The changes between the SEP and the SEPv2 that would be useful are not even in game. Very sad, because the SEPv2 has a terrible win rate and they still won’t give it M829A3 and Trophy. They should at least let us research the M1A2 SEPv2 2020 as a modification for the SEPv2.
they never gave the sep its du hull armor, they never gave it the round it actually fires, or its APS system they did however give it a useless mine protection upgrade.
I think with the SepV1/2, it’s protection isn’t confirmed and there is still a lot of debate with it. I can understand why they haven’t added it’s DU hull to the SepV1/2. However it is definitively confirmed that the SepV3 does have it’s armor package upgraded, they should’ve added the SepV3 instead of the SepV2
As far as the round, I believe the raw penetration of the M829A3 is the same as the A2 however it is able to defeat Kontact5 ERA. It can definitely be menacing at lower Br’s but at a higher br when relict armor is very common, it’ll still perform the same, or you still have to aim for weakspots. I think it’s mass is a lot heavier than the A2 and it’s length is a lot longer, so post pen damage could be significantly increased. I could be wrong though, I’m not an expert on these things.
It’s APS will be helpful and should’ve been added when the V2 was introduced.
All nations suffer from these types of issues (some more than others) and Gaijin has been doing a terrible job at addressing it or fixing it
its already confirmed numerous sources from government website proved there is DU in the hull. gaijin is being anti u.s
they are simply picking and choosing who they don’t want to accept as a source to keep the u.s nerfed on purpose. M1A2 SEPv2 missing 3rd gen Depleted Uranium Inserts // Gaijin.net // Issues
“confirmed numerous sources from government website”
pastes image for the 17th time of the same exact VA document
If you were legitimately a serviceman you’d realize how hilarious it is to see the VA’s word used as any sort of substantiation.
To be fair, the VA had a huge role in us being compensated for the burn pits in OIF / OEF (even if their unofficial motto is “Giving us a second chance to die for our country”). Plus that study isnt just some VA thing, it was a fairly large study with multiple agencies including the DoD after Desert Storm due to radiation related issues incurred in the aftermath of the conflict.
I’m pretty sure when it comes to releasing documentation related to the goverment, it goes through multiple multiple groups of people/agencies for review and release. So unless the source itself is not real, fabricated, etc, I have high certainty that this that the information presented is true. Has there been counter sources provided to prove that no improvements were made? Not an inference but an actual official source that clearly states no improvements were made to it’s turret cheek.
