Frequent stuttering when FPS drops

In the last week or so, I have started getting terrible stuttering in-game. This seems to occur when the FPS drops, which is something my game never used to do. I am running this on an RTX 4070, Ryzen 7 7700X, and 32 GB of RAM. The game is stored on an M.2 SSD. Nothing changed from before it started to when it began that I can remember so this seems very random to me. I have already tried both DX11 and DX12, messing with V-sync in-game and in NVIDIA control panel, fullscreen and borderless, verifying game files, reinstalling, lowering graphics, and restarting the computer many times. It is pretty rough trying to play like this since it starts making me motion sick after a few minutes of gameplay. The stuttering even happens while I’m idle in the hangar. https://youtu.be/M2fnTYfbKh8

(Primary solutions to many issues are to clear the cache folder and the compiledShaders folder in the game folder, and re-verify the files in the launcher)

^^ Try this and see if it improves. I sometimes find it’s a good thing to clear these folders out across major patches, when issues arise.

Hope you get some progress from it.

(Also mind out for the DX12 as peopel say they have trouble and I seen advice saying to use DX11 if it keeps being problematic)

((Also a real oddity, is if you’re using the nVidia app and it’s got shadowplay on, if it’s recording to the same drive that the game and OS is on, that could cause trouble too. I’d disable the shadowplay portion of it so it’s not using that cache of 1-2 minutes to history record))

Update: Reseating the GPU fixed the issue.

Crazy as, a good reminder to people moving PCs about and without everything mounted solidly.
