Frequent near-freeze running with raytracing

As the title suggest, here’s the problem I’ve encountered:

While running raytracing on my hardware once in a while the game would drop to lower than 1fps (basically unplayable) and remains there for the rest of the game. Restarting and reconnecting the game wouldn’t help.

This is usually triggered by the following: Scoping in with a tank, zoom in view, switching to targeting pod with a jet. As you can see it mostly happens in Ground Battle, but occasionally happens in AB as well.

Here’s my spec:
Core ultra 9 185H
RTX 4070M (100w; 8G VRAM)
Dual 16x2 Gb DDR5
And SSD of course

I’ve checked the task manager about my VRAM and RAM usage, I can confirm that it’s not drained. The loss of performance is similar to CPU bottleneck where even my OS would slow down due to the game.

It is also worth noting that the loss of frame happens when I zoom in or scope in particularly after the Ray Trace update (firebird) even without the RT on.

I’m running on DX12 with max setting and DLSS Balanced and HDR, the ray trace setting is as following:

In hanger I’m able to get around 100 FPS, and in AB mostly ~80-90 fps, in GB it’s around 50~60, and when scoping in it’s around 30. It’s mostly tolerable for me and I just wish you guys can get the freezing problem fixed so I can actually enjoy the graphics without the handicap.

A sup info, I tried DX11 and scoping in also lose frame, not helping.
