It could be a problem with some drivers for ethernet. Normally performance is much better with ethernet rather than wifi. But if it works use it
I’ve been having the same issue for months now, replaced my ethernet cable, and 2 routers from my ISP. Was in contact with Gaijin Support and the only way to play it right now is on CIS servers, EU servers are completely unplayable for me.
I tried it today and it’s still the same for me. It doesn’t matter if I’m on cable or wifi. But yesterday it was pretty good when autoselect decided that I should play on EU and for like an hour it was fine. Today I’m back to 20-55% pl on EU.
Same here, getting up to 30% at some times.
some battles, i have 0% packet loss and then in another battle i have from 20-50% PL, so as said before, one EU server has a problem or gaijins ISP
have been playing on Russian server and everything is ok, 0% PL and even ping is fine for me, 60-80ms
Well, back again with the problem. I changed NOTHING and problem is back. Seems like I just had 1 day without issue. Like you.
Got the same problem. I tried to give me a static Ip, dosnot work, open all ports for War Thunder ( Router and PC ) dont helps. Clean install from Win11 and Gaame - problem still there.
Whats the fact, its a game problem, but devs dosnot care…
Our fiber optic cable got torn during the christmas so I have a new one and Im back with packet loss again. During the day it was fine with 0% PL and now its again fluctuating between 20-50%.
Same here. Started with one of the last updates.
EU: ~60ms, 30-50% PL
NA: ~140ms, 0-4% PL
I had same issue like year or two ago. It got fixed without me changing anything on my side.
It was happening for months earlier this year. Over the summer I had no problems and assumed that they had found the fault and fixed their servers or network issue.
But no, the last 4-6 weeks the high packet loss with the WT EU servers is back. I usually have at least one issue lasting about 10-15 seconds each game, though often a couple of severe lagging issues. Usually, this means I lose a vehicle.
It’s getting to the point where I’m about to abandon the game as this doesn’t happen with any other online game and is clearly a problem at their end.

I would like to ask all of you to start a thread on the Gaijin support website - https://support.gaijin.net/
Let’s bombard them with Packet Loss reports on EU servers. Let’s show how many of us there are, no one comes here. You won’t find any help on the forum, we will only complain together and watch as many of us struggle with the same problem.
A report from one or two people in support won’t help, but if we all do it, maybe we can do something. Please, let’s take such a small initiative on our part, let’s not sit idly by.

Dont be dramatic. This also might be with European ISPs…
I’m not being dramatic. If you are satisfied with this state of affairs, do nothing. This state of affairs bothers me and that’s why I’m trying to do something.
If the problem were with European Internet providers, the problem would have a much wider scope (I would like to remind you that my friend has the same Internet provider and lives only a few km from me and does not experience this problem).
Same thing can be said about Gaijin’s EU servers.
You are still dramatic and cant see clear.
I just tested one battle right now and my PL was back to normal - 0%
What can’t I see? That I followed all the steps suggested by Gaijin support? Or maybe the fact that I contacted my Internet provider and a technical team was there to check the connections? No, it is not a problem with the Internet provider. Especially since such problems have already appeared in the past.
Mobilizing people to act together on a problem is not dramatic. This is how it should be in the normal world. There is a problem? We take action (especially since what has been mentioned is a standard reaction to a problem - contacting technical support.). If it doesn’t work, too bad, but at least an attempt was made. A great example is previous year’s boycott and review bombing (a drastic but necessary response that brought many benefits to players).

Our discussion should end here. If you don’t want to do something, don’t do it, but don’t “disturb” others.
PS. I’m very glad that your problem is gone, good for you.
Just FYI, it looks like you’re tracert’ing to the website (www.warthunder.com) which would be different to the match/battle servers. The website will be distributed around a lot more (closer to you) places via a CDN (Content Delivery Network). The battle servers will be in a few specific data centers which could be (for me, definitely will be) much further away. e.g. If I do a tracert to www.warthunder.com it is 13ms away in my city, but when in a battle I get the best ping of around 180ms (and far away in a different country).
To check a battle server network performance you’d need to get into a battle, find the IP address that is the battle server (as it will only appear once in a battle), then tracert to that.
ISPs will tell you its not their problem until you prove them it is. I have very colourful history with their support.
[INSULT REMOVED]
So your theory is that Gaijin is picking random users and giving them worse connection for specific server. But only Packet loss, since ping is ok.
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about but atleast you want to mobilize players a spam Gaijin’s support. Lol, lmao even.
Since this topic is going nowhere, I will close it.
If there is an issue on WT’s servers, it is announced via official news. Please contact your ISP and check your local connection methods (Router, repeater, their firewalls, etc. etc.)
Please be aware that a sudden increase in packet loss can have many reasons that need to be diagnosed and reviewed by experts with access to your network settings.
