I do agree that French is really weird, I mean 8.7 and still no stabilizer? I thought the T-62 was horrible until imagine how you even play the AMX when uptier to 9.7 lol
only solution i see is the amx30s getting their stabilized gun sights added as a mechanic

Yeah, I should probably put out this out there. If they had them IRL then I support them in game
The AMX-30 never received stabilization (at least for the variants used in France), the only one that received one is the AMX-30 Super which is an export variant.
When the French tanks obtained stabilization they were named AMX-32 (prototype) and then AMX-40
