French Leclerc S1, S2. SXXI, & AZUR

So I’ve been playing the French Leclerc series of tanks and have not had to most enjoyable experience. These tanks are not at par with most of the tanks that are in other nations. Yes, France is a minor nation and I’m sure it doesn’t matter much, but the inaccuracies in these tanks are insane. For one, the composite armor does not stop anything. It’s like shooting through paper. Realistically, the turret armor is supposed to be stronger. In addition, the Leclerc tanks are also equipped with Spall liner and is one of the 3 top-tier tanks that do not have spall liner (Leclerc, vt4 and ztz, and the abrams tanks). Now, the French round is the second worse in the game penning only 575mm of armor while most tanks pen 600+mm while also having spall liner. There are plenty of sources that show that the Leclerc tanks have spall liner and improved armor which would greatly improve the playability of the tank. Some sources here:

The Leclerc is outpaced by all tanks at 12.0 in almost all regards which I hope leads to change in the realism of this tank.

The main problem with French tanks is that they are played by few players and that these few players are rather competent with them, the tanks therefore have good stats and Gaijin therefore does not worry about them or little. The problems with the Leclerc were reported years ago but absolutely nothing is done and it is distressing.

If you’re ever interested, this topic sums up everything that’s wrong with the tank.

And unfortunately for the French tree in general, it’s not going to improve, the next Br changes will nerf vehicles that really didn’t need it.
