How worth will it be? I want the Mirage III only

French air tree is good at higher tiers but pretty average below that
The mirage 3e is kinda eh
The mirage 3c can be pretty funny with magics at 10.0 but doesnt have flares so needs to be played very cautiously

France is special because you can return to american/british aircraft for comfort at lower tiers
But the top notch domestic low tier French planes if you are interested in them include the M.B.157 , VB.10C-1, V.G.33C-1 and D.520 (also Fokker D.XXIII at the dutch section of the TT)
The saving grace of low tier France is 100% the hispano 404, the best ballistics of any prop BR 20mil (includin the M3 20mil), use the universal belt (most powerful explosive round) and start your sniping career, you can try the moranes (M.S.405 family at 2.0 and 2.3) if you are interested too and the Potez interceptors at 2.3 turn very well.
French Bombers are also pretty nice, avoid the super small ones tho.

What would you recommend me not touching?
I’ve ground out the French air tree up to the Mirage 2000SC-5. I’d say it’s very worth it.
Admittedly, their low to mid tier planes aren’t great. There are some standout ones, but overall their lower tier options aren’t fantastic.
However, there are some hidden gems.
Mirage 3c is fantastic and isn’t an obese bastard like the 3E. I spaded it and it was a pretty enjoyable experience. Watch your turning and lack of flares.
Etendard (the 9:0 one) is amazing fun. Really powerful engine and a good energy fighter with respectable turn times. I believe I have a 2.0 KD in it.
Mirage-2000SC-5 is great, as it no longer fights 13.7. Still fights SU-30’s (the premium ones) but what can ya do.
Has F-16’s and Mirage 5BA, which I’ve heard good things about from the one similar in the German tree. Al’s has the Rafael’s, which while not the best anymore are still great.
Don’t grind just for the Mirage 3. Grind a few other vehicles you may find and enjoy along the way :)

First tree I grinded, I have to say I had a lot of fun. Can’t speak for props because I’m not much into that but for ranks 5-7 it’s pretty awesome.
The Ouragan was fantastic, remains my favourite plane ever. I also tried others jets of rank 5, but always came back to it due to it being so fun.
For rank 6, I mostly enjoyed the Super Mystère B2 (difficult but fun) and the Etendard IVM (very weird to fly but super interesting).
For rank 7, the Mirage IIIC is absolutely fantastic, though it has no countermeasures so you’ll learn the hard way how to avoid every threat. The F-8E(FN) is an interesting alternative to it as well, the airframe has different strengths and flaws but it’s the same idea (good missiles, no flares).
I haven’t touched things above yet so idk about them

For rank 5, I would say the Vautour. Some people like it, personally I hated it.
For rank 6, nothing is unplayable but keep in mind the Mystère IVA is extremely mid, and the F-86K is infamous for its stock grind (good once spaded though).
For rank 7, I struggle badly in the Mirage IIIE. But overall I can’t give my opinion above 10.0 because the rain of missiles is not something I enjoy.
Beyond the Mirage III and under the Mirage 2000, what would you recommend?
Mirage F1 of course :D
Haven’t played it yet, I’m grinding sl to expert its crew and play it.
From what I was told, the CT gets a far better rwr, however it loses one of its guns and you can’t use gunpods either.
At 12.0 it faces F-16s, F-15s and F/A-18s, so not easy but apparently it can still be fun with skill. Can’t wait to play it
