Hello and welcome everyone to this new suggestion!

Today I’m presenting the emblem of a French Air Force fighter squadron: the 2/3 Champagne
Squadron.

The 2/3 Champagne Fighter Squadron (EC 2/3 Champagne) was officially established in the early 1950s, but its roots go back to various squadrons of the First World War, notably SPA 67 and SPA 75, as well as the GC 1/5 Champagne of the Second World War. Initially flying the De Havilland Vampire, then the F-84 Thunderjet and F-100, the 2/3 Squadron later took on the role of anti-radar warfare, using the Martel missile on the Mirage III E. In the early 1990s, the squadron expanded and received its first Mirage 2000N aircraft, becoming responsible for nuclear deterrence and ground attack missions. Today, the Champagne Squadron remains one of the oldest French air force units and is still assigned to bombing missions with the Mirage 2000D.

Throughout its history, the 2/3 Squadron has been deployed numerous times, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. It participated in operations such as Mousquetaire in Egypt, Harmattan in Libya, Serval in Mali, and Chammal in Syria, and was also deployed during the various wars in the former Yugoslavia.

In the game, this emblem would be an interesting addition, allowing pilots to decorate their aircraft with the emblem of a historic French Air Force unit that has participated in numerous conflicts and operated a wide variety of aircraft.
