Today I’m presenting a new emblem, this time for a fighter squadron of the French Air Force: the 1/3 Navarre.
The 1/3 Navarre fighter squadron was officially created in the early 1950s, but its roots go back to various squadrons of the First World War, notably SPA 95 and SPA 153, as well as the GC 1/4 Navarre of the Second World War, which flew P-39 aircraft and later saw action in Indochina. The 1/3 Navarre is a squadron whose primary mission is air support and bombing. Over the years, this unit has flown a variety of aircraft, starting with the Vampire and F-84, then transitioning to more modern aircraft such as the F-100, the Mirage III, and finally, since 1994, the Mirage 2000D. The 1/3 Navarre has been deployed numerous times on foreign missions with the French Armed Forces, particularly in Africa (campaigns in Libya and Mali), and participated in Operation Chammal in Iraq.
The 1/3 Navarre is composed of three sub-squadrons (SPA 95, 62, and 153), whose symbols are incorporated into the squadron’s emblem.

In the game, this emblem would be an interesting addition, allowing players to decorate their aircraft with the emblem of a historic French Air Force unit that participated in numerous conflicts and operated a wide variety of aircraft.
