given that the Kormoran was kept only on the event Tornado, I imagine the Penguin will be similar, at least until we see higher tier ship combat
Kormoran should receive the same treatment, all gameplay aspects should be treated equally, not just randomly picked/ignored ones

@Stona_WT what happened to the new Norwegian air roundel was that just immediately dropped from the event after you said it would be added? If so why lie and say you guys were working on it if you didn’t plan to deliver on it?

I mean its been fictional since it doesn’t sea skim and top down boats, its literally a reskinned AGM65A with a longer burn time. I mean it doesn’t take a genius to know they wouldn’t bother wasting the time to model a gimmick missile.

Komorans have a radar seeker, if the radar could track tanks like it did when it first came out then it could be used against ground targets. Dont get me wrong Penguin shouldn’t be able to do what it does but it does use a IR seeker instead of radar like Komorans.
This is criminally low for air. F-5E is already strong at that BR, giving it aim-9Ls at the same BR is insane. Needs to be more like 11.3

11.3? So a F5A with 2 9L’s vs the F5E with 2x python 3 and 2x P4 all aspect? I agree compression is a problem but youve completely ignored one of the best F5 models which is far more criminal than the F-5A(G) being the same BR as the E

Gaijin balancing at its finest lets be real, honestly though anyone using the 6x r60m loadout is a clown. True meta is 2 belly mounted R13M1’s and 4x R60M, idk why it went down from 11.3 once its spaded its an amazing fighter, just gotta close the gap with Sarh fighters
It’s the perfect sidegrade to the F-5E, trading FP for better missiles

Also the radar gun sight the F5E has people always forget that it has it, tbf the guns are amazing but the gunsight helps a lot

The F-5E should still be better, guns are still the best weapon even at this BR, non IRCCM missiles are pretty easy to deal with if you just pay attention, and radar missiles are not much of an issue until about 11.7

Eh not really, all aspects on a fighter is pretty rare at and below this BR unless it’s an R-60M. Orbital strikes and than dogfights is going to be a pretty good strategy for this vehicle.
Literally only time i get kills with 9L’s is when they have no idea they are about to be hit or if they dont flare. So about what you’d already do with a Aim 9J or E since forward aspect is essentially always gonna be flared off.

and that 50% better engine thrust on the F-5E is going to be a much bigger difference than the slightly more reliable seeker on the 9L
Nobody knows what modern weapons are truly capable of for sure, it is solely to the game designer to decide how it will be implemented in the game. Since Kormorans can lock planes and AI AAA in ARB and also relock themself onto new ground target - they are already capable to do that.

Thats if you dont come across someone thats somewhat smart and stays up high to use radar missiles, just gotta be careful. Regardless this vehicle is missing a lot of its Norwegian equipment like the CM pods and Jato, im more willing to hold a 100% opinion until gaijin actually tries with this vehicle since they didn’t think spending 10 minutes researching the vehicle was important.
