When you are above the battle rating of 9.3, you get a random tank and a random SPAA. This makes high tier CAS nearly impossible. As a fix, I’d like to suggest either a max amount of free SPAA given out in a match to players, or give them lower BR SPAA. For example, instead of giving a Pantsir-S1 you give them a tunguska, and instead of an ADATS you give them a XM975 or LAV-AD. This will balance the air-to-ground ratio and will also prevent players that take 1 tank into battle from spawning in an SPAA and still being useless for the rest of the match.

Yes, but my point is that CAS is unplayable with these SPAA’s, the moment 2 people die on ground you have 2 angry Pantsir’s shooting at you.

Eh. I don’t think that is the current state of Top Tier CAS.
I think actually SPAA are at a severe disadvantage against someone who knows how to play their cards. If you expect CAS to be simply a flying around freely and bombing the heck out of everything without any resistance, I am afraid to tell you it’s not how it works.
But even then, because of how small maps are, how crowded games get and the fact that spawn positions are literally labeled in your map, it’s quite easy to overwhelm anti air, without the need to expose yourself to them.
It will be cool if we see the entire german team spawning Gepard 1A2 with APDS.
I understand and partially agree with your point, and yes they are at a slight disadvantage because of crew etc, but I believe that fighting 4 Pantsir’s is too overwhelming, and if you then also have to fight a multi-vehicle SAM from a player that grinded the SPAA line, it quickly becomes even more overwhelming. Some of the players using the SPAA are not very smart because they never played top tier AA, but 1 or 2 aware Pantsir players can already give you a hard time. The point of CAS is to help ground units, not fight AA the whole time.

Give them less, not nothing. Tunguska still gets a powerful gun, just a worse missile. You can still intercept fine with the missile, it’s just a little worse for high speed aircraft.

Well the point of SPAA is area denial, which is what they are doing, but you can fly low and use GNSS bombs to target them.
Look here’s the problem balance wise, people in games don’t like being absolutely blasted by something they can’t counter. If you are playing a tank and you have a 50kg SAPHE warhead dropped on top of your head, there’s nothing you could have done to prevent that, people understandably don’t like that, and the fact is that a large chunk of the Ground RB player base hasn’t even touched the air tree, so it does suck for them to die to aircraft.
Even then, CAS does still find usefulness in matches, and quite frankly as a CAS player myself, the only complaint I have is the 30 meter trees that don’t even blind radar but have no problem with clipping my wings.

Gaijin really should just remove since there’s literally no reason to research them atp. On top of that aa spam makes matches last even less since the first team to aa spam is bound to lose. Gaijin tried to do conform to premium players having 1 tank in their lineup and created like 5 problems and fixed none because, let’s be honest, nobody is spawning the free tank with stock heat.
