We need a way to cap framerates i have a strong PC but if i turn V-sync it only limits to 60 when i have a 144p monitor, i want my framerates to be 144 not 60
but if i turn off V-sync i just feel like my PC is gonna blow up while getting 500 fps
V-sync lock the framerate to the refresh rate of your monitor.
Donβt you mean 1440p? If so, this is the resolution (on the vertical side) and it has nothing to do with refresh rate ot frames per second.
If your monitor is only 60Hz, its pointless to have more then 60fps.
use AMD/NVIDIA software to cap fps, on AMD you can cap fps at any amount you want
Are you sure your monitor is running at 144Hz and not 60Hz?
All monitors come with a standard setting of 60Hz no matter how high they can go, you have to manually change it to 144Hz.
On Windows 11 you do this by right clicking the desktop β Display settings β Advanced display β Display adapter properties β Monitor β Screen refresh rate β select the refresh rate that you want (usually the highest available) :)
