Lmao

Only in the USA you have almost more unique prototypes than all the previous ones combined as premiums/event.
Feel free to correct me if i missed any

I’m glad you and I agree about prototypes, however my post has nothing to do with prototypes.

This topic is about a service vehicle, not a prototype.
And my post was about vehicles as a whole as a way to calm someone down so they’d be more rational and criticize Gaijin on facts.
Me giving an encouragement to criticize.

Your topic (as quoted) says “unique vehicles”.
And mine has nothing to do with only prototypes

I want it to be TT, but at the same time idk where in the tree i would personally put it, you could put it after the F8F-1B, but the weaponry and speed it has means that it cannot be a higher BR than the latter

Ask yourself how much money they get from event vehicles.

It’s also worse for the playerbase to put something like this as an event vehicle.
Mig-25? Makes sense. Super hard playstyle, and there’s a Mig-31 for tech tree as an option.
However, this? Should be as accessible as possible.

And while premium isn’t ideal for me personally, it’s more accessible than event.

Tru’ dat.

What’s your source that proves it can take 8 rockets? I am very skeptical of that claim.

Why call them FR-1 (Early) and FR-1 (Late)? The configuration you’re describing as the ‘early’ version only applies to the prototype XFR-1. It makes far more sense to refer to them simply as XFR-1 and FR-1.

IRL, the only major difference between the so-called early and late FR-1 aircraft was the nosewheel assembly. The later version introduced a revised nosewheel to improve rough carrier landing performance, but this modification was retrofitted to all FR-1s in service anyway.

I feel like this didn’t have to be a premium; prototypes and little-produced aircraft like this should be in the TT for the US, beyond just major aircraft. Oh well. More props please

Seeing all the people crying about it being premium makes me giggle a bit. Like, where in the hell would this fit in the tech tree? Just like the Wyvern and the A2D-1, it has no place there. So where else does it go? Premium tree.

I for one will be buying this.

Easily, between F4U-4 and F8F-1, OR between F8F-1 and F6F-5N, or folder it with F8F-1. Truthfully, the USN line is already messy, so it’s on Gaijin to fix it.

Next question.

They had you in the second half you mean?

I dont even know how this plane would work. Im hoping it becomes the best late prop-early jet plane ever.

In my mind i see the retention and acceleration of a prop, with the speed of a jet. So you can dogfight props, and chase the jets. I might actually play around that era, i ussually stick to mid tier props or korean era jets. The early ones i hate because theyre eh, the late props i dont like because jets just run away. Korean era jets, you can have the amazing dogfights you have with props, but youre just alot faster.

I doubt structurally this thing could be very fast tbh, the jet would probably just improve the acceleration
