Still haven’t died to a Fox when playing in that BR range in quite awhile. Haven’t seen much of them, either.
Where are these swarms they keep moaning about? Are they in the room with us?

I just had a game playing the IS3 and killed 3 foxes that tried to flank because their engines are loud as shit, its not that hard to have a tiny bit of situational awareness

Gaijin have already made it clear that a nerf is coming to the penetration.

have they? I havent heard anything about a nerf to its pen, right now the 30mm apds is actually underperforming so it wont get nerfed if anything it will get buffed
I could see gaijin nerfing its immediate short range and buffing the long range “staying power” of the round tbh, would fit both ends fine right?
It was in the news post attached to the updated BR listings.
They state it will be coming in the future only postponed from this patch and will also impact the falcon (and presumably warrior).
Fox APDS revision:
This change involves recalculating the parameters of the APDS rounds fired by the 30 mm L21A1 cannon (and all vehicles using the 30x170 APDS-T shell as well) and consisted of the reduction of its armor penetration against both angled and flat armor. We’ve decided to postpone this alteration and not release it together with the planned Battle Rating changes. We’ll be implementing it later on as this will also affect some other small caliber APDS ammunition.
Additionally, we won’t be increasing the Battle Rating of the Fox, although it does have efficiency high enough to justify an increase. We won’t be moving it now as once the above change is implemented the efficiency of the Fox should stabilize enough to keep it at its current Battle Rating anyway.
Falcon:
With the revision to small caliber APDS performance mentioned above, the penetration power of the Falcon will be notably reduced. After this change, we’ll collect updated data on its efficiency and take another look at its Battle Rating then. Regarding its current performance though, it doesn’t require a reduction in Battle Rating at this time.

bruh gotta love ahistorical nerfs, people show gaijin the 30mm apds is underperforming and they decide to nerf it more, at the very least the flacon might go down again and hopefully the warrior will go down as well since you know the same gun as the fox

Once again, I hate facing foxes. The most infuriating part is that it isn’t OP, and no BR would make those types of tanks better/worse.
I might as well be in a Bt-5 because the fox is just flat out better than any other lightly armoured tank when facing lightly armoured tanks (same with the XM800T). I would literally be better off in an M16 than any 8.3 LT. If you don’t have a stabilizer, you’re dead. If you don’t have armour, you’re dead, if you don’t have a strong MG, you’re dead.
Those types of tanks have made BR 7.3-8.7 awful to play if you aren’t in an armoured tank. The autocannon lights are just better.
They can’t be balanced, and they can’t be made enjoyable for everyone, and they shouldn’t have been added.

its crazy, light tanks with autocannons are really effective against other light tanks that use cannons?
I like how you instantly assume that I was the one that made the mistake, very fun.
I do see them, I just can’t react in time, or they get me before I get them (due to me lacking a stabilizer/any MG)

My point is that they make any light tank that doesn’t have an autocannon awful to play since they will win 100% of the time if the player has basic awareness. They (fpx/xm800t) are just as fast/faster than other tanks, they can pen the side of most tanks, and they can frontally pen and kill any other light tank. You just can’t react in time.
I want to play the MARS 15 or the Ikv-91, but they aren’t as good anymore now that autocannon lights annihilate them.

Ok, so you lose a trade against a vehicle with no STAB, a bouncy chassis and a horrible RoF, it happens to the best but it’s best to expect them if britain is on the enemy team around that BR and you will have a better chance of reacting if one pops up

Just like my own tank. I’m not complaining about dying to them in a centurion or something.
The ROF is still a hell of alot better than anything without an autocannon.
However, I’d rather be facing foxes than XM800Ts since it lacks a stabilizer.
The XM800T shouldn’t of come with a full 2 plane imho, especially at such high top speeds over all terrain, the only contemporaries are things like the scimitar, which is just as fast but lacks a STAB
