Fox 3s underperforming

All of the current fox 3s in the game EXCEPT FOR THE AIM120 are underperforming in the game currently. DO NOT NERF THE AIM120!!! I and many other players expect the mica, derby, r-darter, and specifically the r77 drag gets fixed. The r77 should have less supersonic drag than the aim120 but this is not a feature in the game. This really ruins the gameplay at top tier causing USA to win most games not because a airframe, missile, or playstyle is too overpowered but simply because of the incompetence to make realistic missile models other than the AMRAAM. THESE MISSILES WERE RUSHED IN THE GAME TO MEET DEADLINES. Fox 3s have been in the game for over 6 months now this should have been included by now shame to the developers.

Fun fact: according to a multitude of simulations, the agility of aim 120 is actually overperforming given the designation of the ones we’ve received.

There are also a number of bug reports based upon RAF docs that suggest its underperforming

The ones we’ve got? Simulations mainly focused on the A, to a lesser extent B. Suggested agility was not particularly flash until it was up to speed. I’d have to hunt the papers down for a better summary than that.

Probably even more out there if I looked passed just what i’ve seen Flame report. I suppose they focus less on agility, but still, Aim-120 is underperforming as much as the rest

Interesting. I’ll have to read through these. I’ve no comment on the acquisition side of it and such, most missiles are gimped in that regard in game. Simulation did tend to suggest our missiles are maneuvering far too well before getting up to speed, however. I’ll see if I can find it again*.

*Assuming I don’t forget, get miffed with not being able to find it, or fall asleep.

Yeah. no doubt they are all overperforming in some aspects and under in others. But yeah, Aim-120 could be a lot stronger :D

MICA could be a lot stronger 😿

But if MICA was fixed, folk would actually need their newer missiles to compete. Still sad it isn’t fixed.

It is significantly weakened not only in an aerodynamic and kinematic sense, but also in notching and multi-pass resistance.

Even if MICA wasn’t fully fixed, it’d be nice if it actually functioned in the dogfight and bvr capacity equally well. Given it was designed to.

AAM-4 is literally artificially nerfed to meet AIM-120A/B standards for WT gameplay balancing

Same with PL12, which both should be around AMRAAM C modules performance and then nerfed so it can be added now. They literally could have saved them for latter, as Japan gets AMRAAM anyways, and SD10A could be applied to all Chinese vehicles.
