Formal Letter to the War Thunder Development Team

I disagree, fundamentally.

If the US has to sit here and watch China get an Abrams via Taiwan, or if Russia has to sit here and watch them get an Su-30, or France a M4K, then China should also have to sit here and watch Japan get a VT-4 via Thailand. Why is it fair for China to receive vehicles from other nations while not having to export any of their own? Especially a vehicle like the VT-4, which was designed for export?

It is clearly inherently wrong and biased, and just makes the state of the game that little bit worse. Gaijin didn’t deny China an Abrams because US mains didn’t like the change, or because Taiwan and China don’t get along. Gaijin didn’t deny France Benelux vehicles because German Mains didn’t like the change. But all of a sudden several Chinese individuals throw a fit about it, and the possibility of it happening gets shut down. It simply isn’t fair, right, or just.

It’s far more complex than ‘scared of WW2 Japan’.

Pragmatism often isn’t fair. Nor is the more financially sound decision. In this case, putting the VT-4 in the Chinese tree - if it were to be added to begin with - would mean the least amount of players pissed off. In turn, more money for Gaijin as a company.

The M1 addition - even if I couldn’t give a flying fart in space about the Abrams period - is a baffling one to me.

Agree with u

i have an idea we can do like old school just separate the chinese sever again
let they play alone in they sever like old day so we will free

Really odd to me that both warthunder and WoT had a Type 59 gold.

No idea what the significance of a gold version is but I’m not chinese.

Then you pay for the server?

This was hardly pragmatic, from anything other than maybe a financial standpoint. The sensible decision would be to do what Gaijin have done with every other nation in game; export the vehicle. But several Chinese people threw a fit and all of a sudden it’s the end of the world. But again, a Chinese Abrams is ok? It’s just irregular logic, and honestly shouldn’t be supported. But I don’t have the economic power of China so obviously I won’t be able to change a decision.

just a expesive skin for sell to china mainland for gainjin to get an EZ money

I never said the Chinese M1 makes sense; I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to begin with since China isn’t exactly struggling for tanks at upper tiers.

I apologize, I know you said that it made no sense. I was agreeing with you. I was not parroting that in any way for your case, but more for the general public. China 100% isn’t struggling for Tanks at Top Tier, I agree.

My bad. I misread then.

You are good, I wasn’t clear about it.

It is funny that server didnt last long bc low player count and low income.

that was ironically caused by players flocking to the international server

So the mayority of chinese players agrees and prefers playing with the rest of the world instead of just China and chinese bias decisions??

Hmmm how interesting.

The rest of the world doesn’t prefer it though.
Let there be a firewall.

iirc the Chinese server’s management team was Tecent, and they did a really shitty job at that. The Chinese server is a couple of large updates behind and the chinese devs at the time seem to play the game even less than bvvd himself.

players moving to the international server wasn’t about agreeing or disagreeing or even bias, it was about escaping from tencent

Wait, wasn’t it because of the gaming regulations crackdown in China back in 2021? iirc Tencent shut their server down in the next year after those strict regulations came in, like the 3-hour limit online time a week for people under 18.

Gaijin stopped doing bussiness with Tencent after the poor income/player count. Gaming regulation still are active today and you still see China players playing normally, in the international server.
