I think having a vote on a separate test event was dumb, just test it. People are voting out of fear.
I think if the vote is no but only by a 1-5% it will likely still be tested.

You are taking things to an illogical extreme, while also completely ignoring the arguments presented.
Something can be both simultaneously a fix and a nerf, you are aware?
I will always present my arguments from a balance perspective and have done so here, explaining logically why it would make the game worse- all I have heard from the other side is complaints about realism and not balance.
Edit: No, not really, they were known for detonating prematurely. See this test here and that other one of 90mm in the UK in 1944.
Ppl can also Say no because they prefer that gaijin spends Time on working on other features than this one, they not all vote by fear
Well again your ignoring overpressure will still exist so in many cases it will be no different. What should change but we don’t know until it’s tested is the end of small calibre pea shooters killing tanks they have no right to.
Again we won’t know until it’s tested. Your all spreading fear over unknown information.
Well in the article they say then shows with a screen that some weaksopts like cupola would do much less significant dmg, im inventing nothing
I don’t get why people don’t understand your take, like come on people, would you like your favorite round to be nerfed as well?
Like it is such a privilege to get asked to test a nerf for something… imagine if we would be asked about uptiering our favorite vehicles. Would anyone in their right mind want to nerf their favorite vehicle? Of course not. Everyone will just answer “no”.
Anyway… there was a valiant effort by those who don’t want to see the game fixed, but 48-52% is probably close enough for Gaijin to still decide to carry on with the tests anyway; specially since they are aware that the vote wasn’t fully genuine.
Then, we will have another opportunity to fix this broken shell; and, hopefully, after the tests, more sense will be instilled onto the minds of many and the community will take this chance to fix the game, instead of throwing it away out of fear that their personal favourite toys won’t be so artificially handheld.
Firstly they are doing it because people asked for it, that’s why it’s on the roadmap to start with. And secondly the work is already done, they have to run a test event to see how it works. So many here are complaining don’t change aphe buff ap. This is just using the resources on another ammo type and doesn’t fix broken aphe. And the people who model ammo physics aren’t the same people who do many of the issues people have with the game anyway.
It also says overpressure won’t change and it’s TEST so nothing is final. One example does not represent all examples on every tank and using every ammo type.
When it comes to mechanics and vehicle models in War Thunder realism always took priority over balance, which can be done through BRs.
I have extrapolated logical conclusions from the available evidence, and if there is a flaw in it you are welcome to point it out.
So far it is thus:
Weakspots on heavy tanks will do significantly less damage and may be completely inviable, thus heavily increasing their survivability.
Due to this heavy tanks will be moved up to a point where their armor is irrelevant, and will really die off as a class
I have stated many times the issue with heavies- they can be hard to pen, but not hard to kill when penned in their weakspots, otherwise they become too strong.
Not really. A tally is a tally. Beyond me declaring it here, you’d have no way of knowing that I didn’t test it. I’m being honest here by saying I’m not wasting my time on it. And it looks like the no’s have it.
There are “Yes” voters that put the arguments of the ap not enough good compared to aphe, so following your Logic "yes " voters want to improve their toy.
Btw i put everybody in the same bag on purpose, i dont think that they all voted for it but it’s to show that he doing exactly this with his toy problem
Ah yes, completely disregard the majority and continue to push the claim the vote was tampered without any evidence. Totally not inviting backlash there. No sir.
The thing is, you’re probably right about that. Stuff like the T95 or Foch only have cupolas as frontal weakspots, so they might be moved up due to them surviving more.
According to what I read, the Americans had serious problems with the fuzes, apparently it was extremely common for them to fail. Also on the other hand, in reality the fact that they failed would not be so serious, since when they failed they would act like a common AP, possibly fragmenting more due to the weakness that the internal cavity gives it. That is why I imagine that the Americans will continue using the APCBC-HE as their main ammunition, due to the fear of hardened armor, and because they would not have problems with the fact of spending more dollars when manufacturing the APCBC. -HE.
“Since whatever I voted for lost, clearly that means the votes were tampered with, and that the test should happen”
Again you continue to completely ignore the counter argument. You keep saying heavies will go ip but ignore other tanks can go down. You act like it’s perfectly acceptable you can use low calibre ammo that has no right killing these tanks but for broken aphe mechanics that could be fixed.
You can’t make educated extrapolations based on testing or real evidence while ignoring half the information provided. Your like a scientist that says they have a perfect cure because they saw someone get well once, extrapolated the cure and haven’t tested it but now they are experts.
If it was on the roadmap because everybody asked it, why would they do the poll
Then i let you read last paragraph that says the test would take a lot of time to do if players Want it
