Following the Roadmap: research helicopters with ground vehicles, marking spawn campers and more

yeah, it doesn’t help the stock grind at all haha. Silly snail.

But a very welcome addition to the research.

Will you buff the RP gain on helicopter to ground kill at some point? It feels very demotivating to get around 600-1200 per game, even after killing a few enemies, because of the RP cap.

Other than that, it is a most welcome addition, thank you.

The “spawn camping” change isn’t a good one.

Majority of spawn camping doesn’t happen on purpose, but because of shitty map designs.

Now you are just again punishing normal players trying to play the game.

This is exactly the same as nerfing traction to the ground, because you can’t make proper maps and don’t like people taking advantage of it.

spawn camping changes made bugger all difference. “middle east” map, spawn killed twice in a row 5 minutes into the match by people camping in a ridge just inside their spawn.

At least they’ll actually be able to be researched now. They need to stop with the excuses of waiting till the last minute to fix the RP grind.

people such as Chinese heli with ty90 still camping the air spawn point…

@Stona_WT Would the devs consider making it possible to do the reverse, and research ground trees with helicopters? This means people who have finished a helicopter tree will still have an incentive to buy premium helicopters to speed up their ground research, as now a ground premium is sufficient to grind all of the helicopter trees.

That all excellent, but i have my observation.

If you ask me, i will write it down. In spawn camper case on new Jungle map i have an observation:
-Too opened and especially the middle part and in the bottom part the road directly linked the opposite teams spawns. From this, (especially in arcade battle) to difficult to take controll and after hold the Mid point alive. Spawn campers just need a fast vehicle or just push trought in enemy line in bottom side and become spawn campers. In top side also too open so players not risk and campers battle stars and if take part in a battle with a slow under BRd tank to can help your mates not really possible. Now the CQC part not available (just in bottom part of the map.) instead of this campers battle started. (image) https://i.imgur.com/FeLmiFp.png

All Ground Vehicles.

One of the main problems in the game is lack of arty for all tanks .
light, medium anti aircraft all have the arty ability leaving the heavies to rely on CAS or team mates , but when damaged and left behind they have NO backup to repair yet if ALL vehicles had the arty ability that might stop the unbalance in that part of the game .
In real time world EVERY vehicle has contact with artillery barrages and so if this is in fact a true to life game THEN arty should be allowed for every vehicle at every battle rating and every type including heavy tanks ,because as we know its not just armour that keeps them alive in the game maybe?

I concur with the criticism over the bottom-left hill on the Jungle map being blocked off. To anyone familiar, camping points were known, and just as prone to pick-offs as sniping. Please bring the old map back!

Btw, my entire squadron banned the Jungle map after the change for that reason. No longer fun. :(

You wouldn’t need to use tanks to research helicopters if Gaijin didn’t break the Heli PVE mode so badly.
5min waiting time so 10 players can fight for 2 Targets.
Gaijin’s sheer mockery of the player community.

It would have been better to occupy the round with a maximum of 4-5 players and to let enough targets spawn.
In addition to limiting it to equivalent ranks.

Maybe being able to convert convertible RP with SL for modifications. Impose a penalty of a certain percent to allow one modification per Tier to be unlocked in order to assist with spading a vehicle.

Remove the reveal when you shoot at an invulnerable target, this is very stupid because the spawn can be shot from the other end of the map, and then you will be marked because the mapmakers made such bad and open maps. OR make the marker visible only if you are in the spawn zone. You made playing more frustrating because you got killed not because you have no skill, but because you were light up like christmas tree on map, after shooting invulnerable target.

I was thinking more like 10% of RP earned on a spaded vehicle can be put into a reserve pot and used to research something else.

That’s a good idea too. Either way, not letting us transfer RP is kind of lame, especially with how large the trees are getting.

I just don’t think they would let one vehicle spade another. They’d lose revenue from the GE for module research. If they evened out the Assault mode BR spread at higher BRs would even help. Too many tanks in battles with no real chance of fighting some of the AI negates the research points that used to be obtained in that mode. Same with aircraft 6.7 to 12.0 Br spread is ridicules.
