while yes they may be wrong but they are getting the right end result, while they would fail math many people with motion sickness will thank them along with people that actually want player agency to be important
If they add modules, you will take that much longer to spade it and increase repair costs. How is that not clear?
Drones - terrible idea.
Severe damage - terrible idea.
April BR Changes - terrible idea.
These ideas - terrible idea.
Gotta stop with these. It has the same flavor as Master Modes in SC. An overly complicated fix to something that we absolutely don’t need.
the upgrade is to the damage model itself it will not be a modification you failed reading comprehension this time, it will take time because no module will need to be semi correctly placed by the dev team
the drones and severe damage weren’t terrible?
You didn’t even hit the crew, stun would not have saved you in that situation. If anything, you would have died even faster.
Stun mechanic for light tanks sounds great, and should be implemented at the least in RB and SIM.
drones were just a bad idea, slow drones dont really fit WT, more modern faster ones would have but now we are stuck with things that really were a mistake, severe damage was great
If they add a, for example, radio station inside the tank you wouldnt have to research it to unlock. They are not talking about researchable modification, but objects inside the vehicle that are damageable.
Mods in this case is modules, not modifications.
Except this is Gaijin, that made you have to retroactively go respade planes to get fire extinguishers.
The module I am referring too is the “upgrades” research.
They were. Who actually enjoys getting snipped by a mosquito you can barely counter? And the severely damage mechanic is so inconsistent with its application, that it robs kills.
i wasn’t talking about the reaper type drones, i was talking about the recce drones
snipped by a mosquito you can barely counter? what? you are not making sense.
Same with the sparks. They only serve to be graphical additions, but without them you still lose control from the stun.
Sort of like the Tinnitus option in sound.
I think you are just reading it wrong it was never said you would need to research them, you are just confused, the FPE for planes was a new feature that you can research so that made sense, why would making your internal damage model more detailed be a thing you research
I forget those exist
They do not mention modification, such as the FPE you mentioned, in that part. They are talking about modules. That is, for example tracks, power train, drive train etc
If its too much for GAB and GRB then yes, but if Gaijin will ever expand ground sim it would be nice for that. We had a test for sim a while ago with a more RB style of matchmaking, with which nothing was done in the end. A full rework of the sim gamemodes would be nice with more little mechanics like this stun/concussion effect.
People should probably be worried about the “over time, to specific vehicles” bit a little more than they are, given only Leopards and M1s are mentioned as getting some added damage mechanics soon here. Just saying. As with “hot tracks” and “volumetric” seems like a prescription for another half-implemented mechanic that will tend to produce additional balance complications.
EDIT: Also I don’t really see the argument for red/orange/yellow crew gradually healing in game and not other modules (like tracks) also progressively healing over time too, to be honest.
EDIT #2: If the enhanced stun effect gunners get compared to what other crews also takes affect if a commander is injured in a tank that has commander’s sight… wouldn’t that make those vehicles with commanders sights less effective because the enhanced stun would happen to them twice as often?
honestly fair, unless they can do it with at least 25% of the already ingame vehicles then they should delay it
