I don’t understand how people can support adding an additional effect that would impede and worsen the already stupidly long repair times this game has. That’s unbelievable to me.
stun mechanics would be awful, and would only serve to buff these types of vehicles. who is this going to help more? the fox that gets an AP sent through it, and stunned for like 2 seconds who then just turns round and starts stunlocking you with a fast firing gun, or the person that fired the AP?
If stunning actually gets added that update would make history by dethroning the traction update as the worst ever ‘addition’ in war thunder.
Are you sure that the stun would help in this case because at least according to hit cam none of the shrapnels hit the crew so the stun wouldn´t effect the other player.
All of this sounds great, HOWEVER please do not go forward with the crew stun mechanic.
I don’t want to vomit every single time I get hit and I definitely do not want to not be able to react to being rocket or bomb spammed, hell even autocannons sound like a lot.
Keep crew stun in sim for all I care, for the sake of RB staying enjoyable at the very least ( or fix hitreg and get people to also play better lmao)
From what I can see on Reddit, people are voting against crew stun without even reading the dev blog.
They assume that it will work as in WoT, and that any hit on the vehicle would stun the crew for 10 seconds…
Is it that hard to read the dev blog before voting?! For God’s sake!
Vote against the mechanic if you at least know what it consists of and you still disagree, but don’t jump to wrong conclussions without even taking a look!
This is user error, not a fault of damage mechanics.
Firstly, your shots are landing too low. Your shots were ricocheting off the ground to hit the 2S38, it would have been a miracle if you actually killed them. While yes APFSDS rounds do go quite fast, lasing the target to be as accurate as possible never hurts. Not to mention that this is quite a poor example as its already quite well know that the HSTVL does little spalling.
Secondly, what are you doing in the open? Sure you are engaging an enemy in the open but its best to use cover or topology to hide yourself as much as possible. In the clip it seems to me that you just want to YOLO into the enemy team while expecting little resistance. A rather flawed engagement plan id say.
Eh. I want my tanks to finally have first aid kits that are persistent throughout the battle.
And more detailed internal modules is very much what I’ve wanted for years.
