Fly-by Line on HUD is Inaccurate / Not Working Properly
Hello,
I’ve noticed that the fly-by (steering) line on the HUD does not behave correctly on several aircraft in the game.
In real aircraft, this line is supposed to guide the pilot along an optimal path to pass near or over a target with proper offset and alignment. However, in War Thunder, the fly-by line often appears to be inaccurate or inconsistent.
Observed Issues:
- The line does not properly align with the target or intended flyby path
- Following the line does not result in a correct or realistic pass over/near the target
- In some cases, it feels disconnected from the actual flight path marker (FPM) logic
- The behavior varies between aircraft, suggesting inconsistency in implementation
Expected Behavior:
- The fly-by line should provide a stable and accurate guidance path
- It should correctly represent a calculated trajectory for proper target flyby
- Aligning the aircraft’s flight path marker with the line should result in a realistic and predictable pass
This issue affects both realism and usability, especially for players trying to learn proper attack or approach techniques.
I would appreciate it if this could be reviewed and corrected.
