Flakpanzer IV (3 cm Flakvierling) ‘Zerstörer 45’

It’s pretty much the same vehicle WoT has, all based on that old mistake Doyle made and then corrected later. Mistranslated a few documents discussing proposals to make an 8.8cm armed Panther from what I remember.

Honestly, that’s one tank though that could be brought back to the game in its corrected form (ie with the schmale Blendenausfuehrung turret and a 7.5), could even do the American Panther II with Ausf G turret hybrid thing.

The Panther II in-game is an utter fantasy project.

The problem is mainly Gaijin’s version of it, there is nothing fantasy about a Panther chassis or an 88mm gun.

I never said there isn’t, but an 8,8 cm Panther is still a paper design and shouldn’t be readded. The Panther II could be added with either its intended turret or the Ausf. G turret.

Then you’ll know he meant the illustration from the book.

That’s what should have happened in the first place, it’s Gaijin that decided to just make something up so they could fill a gap, only the remove them again and leaving the same gap it was supposed to fill.

ZUT-37 is premium :-(

A .50cal on a Sherman is a better AA than the ZUT-37 😂

a roof mounted .30cal is more effective at that br than the zut 37

Only the intended turret should be added. Ausf. G turret is unhistorical as it was never intended-being added postwar by the US.

I know people want consistency when it comes to adding paper vehicles, but it would be far more prudent to take it on a case-by-case basis. Japan is in far more need of prototype and mockup vehicles than the US for example.

People for some dumb reason keep bringing up the Ho-Ri and R2Y2, when these vehicles were added several years ago. Gaijin already acknowledged their ahistoricity and plans to remove them when appropriate replacements can be found. But in the case of the Zerstrorer, both the Mobelwagen and production variant are historical, so Gaijin simply went with the “more” historical option. Although I do understand the frustration when there are more recent vehicles (not ships) that were added with production features that were never made irl

The R2Y2 V1 was rumored. So that was isn’t necessarily fake since it does have some irl connotations. However, the V2 and V3 are fake/an artist’s interpretation, i do wonder who the artist was.

Russians crying with the ZUT-37.

The V1, V2, and V3 are just the same proposals that the Kikka had before the underwing engine option was chosen due to its simplicity among the three.

Kikka design proposals

As far as I know, the R2Y2 went through the same process with the claim coming from an engineer of the project. However, that is pretty dubious, and as seen with the O-I project, what engineers say doesn’t always line up to reality.

May i also ask where the image is from.

I quickly did this the other day, if anyone wants to add to it:

3 cm Mk 103 auf Baumaffe. It has nothing to do with a Vierling (which means 4).
It is a Mk 103 on a free elevation and traverse simple no gearing mount.

Zerstorer. The vehicle that is not more real than the coelian but apparently gaijin sees it as being better than coelian. Ok.
