And I thought the buff was to the APHE rounds, which would be used more on ground units than air units. Complaints have been the 341 doing way too much damage on ground units rather than concentrating on CAS…
Yup - this only adds evidence to what I have long suspected.
If we give average people ground-to-air counters that 1) can go on the offensive against tanks to reach relevant locations on maps and 2) are also effective at swatting planes at their BRs, then most people will (after varying amounts of time) stop complaining about CAS and pick up their preferred counter to kill themselves.
Now let’s see a SP cost drop on at least clean/AAM-only fighters, coupled with forced runway spawns on all planes at all times.
Maybe also take a nod from Naval and give us default fighters, CAS, and SPAAG/SAMs with preset loadouts so that now nobody can claim they’re “defenseless” against CAS.
Then everyone will have multiple good counters to pick from, and SPAAGs will feast on plenty of targets.
Just like people who were exploiting scouting through solid cover bug.
All of these should be punished in one way or another.
Both resulted in some people gaining unfair advantage and getting more RP/SL, while others lost RP/SL directly because someone used those bugs against them.
Few thousand of perma bans would set a nice of example of what’d happen if you were to exploit blatant bugs.
Yup. Experienced players playing 341 = people actually SPAAing for Germany = the CAS spam allied teams deleting their own spawn points by bringing CAS when they really should be bringing ground.
Yes, but its ability to tackle ground units has increased its usage at the frontlines, which is where SPAA is at its highest effectiveness. It’s not some SPAA sitting in spawn after someone has lost their Tiger 2.
There’s a big difference between turning down the sliders to the lowest available level and scouting across the map through meters of solid cover. Only one of those is an actual bug which is also incredibly easy to spot just by using the smallest amounts of common sense.
Gameplay mechanic = scouting through meters of solid cover
I guess it’s easiest to play dumb and ignore common sense as this doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see it’s clearly a bug. Unless you want to claim scouting was always meant to work without LoS, which is just absurd.
Ah, so people that never reversed while playing their tank before are all of a sudden doing exactly that in their every engagement, basically changing their playstyle overnight. How lucky and convenient is that, huh ?
Blatant bug exploiters should get punished and only thing more lame than them are people that’re trying to excuse that behavior on the forum by offering nonsensical arguments.
Yes, gameplay mechanic, because you can do this by accident even if you aren’t aware its a bug simply by trying to scout somebody you know exists, possibly through the UAV that directly enabled the bug in the first place… don’t make me spell everything out for you
I can’t help you see logic if your brain is illogical and thinks nonsense like this. Try reading my first paragraph a 2nd time.
Scouting has ALWAYS had issues with detecting terrain between you and the target since DAY ONE of its introduction. This “bug” just made it worse through using gameplay methods NATURALLY used such as the SCOUT UAV to render in the target making them SCOUTABLE. YES, you CAN come across this bug naturally. I know because I DID SO before reading about it here. Get over yourself. This is cringe.
What? I won’t bother with even talking about this. You are delusional.
Safe to say you are written off as a voice of reason on this forum. To even imply perma bans for a bug like this is insanely short sighted and dare I say, intellectually challenged.
Not being aware that scouting through meters of solid cover is a bug makes me question someone’s common sense and intelligence. That’s like you start shooting people across the map through meters of cover and not realizing that wasn’t supposed to happen.
And ?
You repeatedly scouting people across the map through meters of solid cover without even a pixel of their vehicle showing is definitely a malicious behavior.
There’s a stark difference between you scouting someone through terrain on accident and doing it on purpose to gain an unfair advantage. You don’t just start scouting multiple people in a row through meters of solid cover on accident.
Not understanding this is cringe.
Oh yeah, just ignore a blatant switch in people’s playstyle and behavior in their every engagement that happened basically overnight for no real reason. As I said, it sounds really lucky and convenient to just start doing that at the time APHE reverse bug is going rampant.
Definitely not malicious as WT players are known to have extremely good moral compass, am I right ?
