Hmm, the problem is i have 2 clogs, One made at 3pm local time, the test was made 3:30 pm, and another one that is updating itself
You can upload multiple
I will just add both, as the older one is aroudn the time i made the first bunch of screens, and the second one started before the session where i was shot
@Gunjob here it it Community Bug Reporting System if you need anyting else i will be around for around an hour, then i will have take a break so i will not be able to add anything for at least 4h.
Looks like its because the 152mm plate is all that is currently modelled and the trunnion is still missing, I’ve linked your report to that report we already had. Cheers
Thanks, hope you have a good rest in your work :)
Ah, the same thing goes for the Strv 101.
Part of the same report already.
But still this thing has been in the game for years, and i just remembered i tried to make a report before, but somone from staff said it was weaker than the cent 3 mantle (at that point in time cent 3 mantlet had these 2 i think 40mm blocks inside of them) because it was made to resist heat not kinetic shells. Now my past self can rest.
The centurion 10 mantlet/trunnion was a louder topic on the old forum, on the outside this mantlet was thinner but it used a very thick trunnion as a separate piece. This arrangement would protect the traverse systems better
I have never looked too deep into it. Lest time i had to do anything with it was when RAAC was added, then i was comparing armor. But when it comes to real life values, at that time i had no interest in it. Now after 2 years i came back to it and it clicked instantly.
It’d be really nice for the challengers to actually be good. Especially given they should be one of the most survivable tanks on the field.
It would be. But there is a LOOONG way before that
They’re literally ignoring the research though. Marking it acknowledged and putting it on a shelf…
They literally aren’t. We mark all forwarded reports with “acknowledged”, bugs get left open and suggestions are closed. Both will be updated with a “fixed” when it’s been changed/fixed.
Considering the changes would take less than a days work, the reports contain all the information needed to justify the decisions, all the technical information needed for implimentation, and a solid amount of support: i’d hope the changes to CR2, at least the issues i’ve highlighted come to be fixed sooner rather than in another year or more waiting in a broken state.
I’m sure the issues are in the backlog, but that makes no difference if they are never actioned and resolved.
There are loads of issues with the British tech tree and vehicles which are never resolved. “Acknowledged “ is a death sentence for these bug reports.
Yet I can also find hundreds that have been fixed. I get it, it’s frustrating. But I’m always advocating for British fixes internally.
It’s especially rough to see the game receiving new vehicles for USA and RUS, while British Top Tier vehicles, that’re supposedly the big reward at the end of an absolutely grueling grind - are unfinished, bug ridden and borderline useless wastes of time.
Even more so when these are supposed to the best the tree has to offer and fixing the inaccuracies and bugs aren’t even entire 3D model overhauls like seen in the Challenger 2Es hull, but just textfile editing to change ERA values, armor materials and modifiers, and reload rates…
and if you really want to go the extra mile: moving the hitboxes and Xray models of ammunition and charges so they’re not placed in genuinely impossible positions, and move the gunner and commander crew and further down so they sit in the right spot.
Or modelling the CR2 as having wet ammo storage and give it a low chance of charge cookoff.
This work? A week at absolute most. The reasoning, sources, changes that need to be actioned, the way the implimentation should be carried out…all laid out in posts like mine. The hard work is done for the devs, it’s just changing numbers from 0.15x to 0.25x or something in a text file. Changing things from Era_name: “ERA” to “ASPRO-HMT”
Changing the CE value to 1800 and KE value to 84
Text file editing, that’s been on the back burner for ages while new shiny toys take the limelight.
British top tier isn’t worth grinding right now because the best it can offer you is aesthetics. The vehicles in game are woefully misrepresented and extremely low effort changes would make them worth the time investment, but has been left for years as “acknowledged”.
I get this guys pain. And I definitely appreciate the work you do here Gunjob. It’s just a tragic situation to see going neglected so badly.
I wasn’t having a go at you personally, my apologies if it came across like that.
It’s just frustration building up. Slight tangent but The stormer is the backbone of British air defence in game, and it’s so gimped I don’t even bother to spawn it any more.
We have all seen videos of how it works and how the missiles fly, which bear no relation to how it is in game. I get it, it’s a unique missile and hard to model but the frustration when it misses, or it sparks on a drone and does no damage , or it just phases through something and then you get bombed is very, very real.
