There are few strike planes that are classified as fighters (one of them being the mig27), i know it was initially done to remove their air spawn, but now (for a while now) since strike planes dont have air spawn anyway. I think its time to give it the propper classification of a attack plane, and gaijin have been doing such fixes recently (like making arl44 a heavy tank)
And its important becuse
1 rewards for attacking ground targets (attack planes have them higher as its their role)
2 sp cost in GRB
Lots of aircraft with wrong designations unfortunately
Also vice versa. Like Sea Harrier FRS1 being classed as a Strike Aircraft.
Really annoying, especially in GRB where you have FAR better Strike Aircraft at the same BR (like the Jaguar with GBUs)
Gaijin need to not only overhaul what is classed as what. But I also think they need to add a few new classes like a multirole designation to mitigate the advantage the US and USSR have with the F-16C/F-15E and Su-30/Su-34 currently
I mean tbf it stands for Fighter Reconnaisance Strike
Well no better way to fix that than to start complaining and asking for a change
And the G is FGR and FG stands for ground. But they are classed as fighters.
Though the strike was really only naval targets and even then, only at a push main target was always soviet shadowers
